red peep toe shoes New shoes! ASOS Princess peep toes in red

Yup, it’s those ASOS peep toes I wrote about last week: well, I did say I probably wouldn’t be able to resist them…

Chances of me actually getting to wear them any time in the next couple of months: slim to zero. (We have MORE snow forecast for this week. Have I mentioned how much I HATE snow?)

Chances of me buying the same shoes in another colour: Um, probably quite high, actually. Must! Resist! Shoes!

    ASOS Princess Peep Toe Shoes

Oh dear. I think I may just have identified my 72nd pair of shoes. And maybe the 73rd too, actually. Yes, I know they’re just plain peep toes, but during the warmer months of the year, I more or less live in plain peep toes: they’re one of my favourite style of shoes, the shape works with just about anything, and it so happens that I’ve been on the lookout for a red pair for quite some time now. And a nude pair. I could really be doing with a black pair too, and I’m not even joking here. Seriously, give me these three shoes, plus some peep-toe appropriate weather, and I bet I could wear nothing else on my feet for a month. Hey, maybe that should be my next shoe challenge?

The nude pair of these actually looks a little on the white side to me (even my pale legs aren’t quite that colour), but the red is just the shade I’m looking for: it’s bright, but not so bright that it looks cheap, which can sometimes be a problem with red shoes.

One of the best things about these, though, is the price. They’re just £25, and you can buy them at ASOS.com.

Red peep toe bow slingback shoes from River Island

red shoes river island Red peep toe bow slingback shoes from River IslandNow here’s a pair of shoes that have “Shoeperwoman” written all over them! Well, not literally, obviously: that would be a bit weird, to be honest. These are everything I like about shoes at the moment, though: the red uppers (River Island actually describe these as “orange”, so they may be worth looking at in person), the knotted bow, and that cute, triangular heel, which looks like it could be fairly comfortable to walk on.

These are also fairly affordable: they’re £44.99 and you can buy them here.

Rupert Sanderson red suede ‘Tullia’ Mary Janes

red mary janes Rupert Sanderson red suede Tullia Mary JanesRed Mary Janes. They’re one of those “everyone should have some” kind of styles, aren’t they? And I’ve just realised that I don’t. There’s a gaping hole in my closet where a pair of bright red Mary Janes should be. Ah, woe is me!

Sadly, these Rupert Sanderson shoes won’t be filling that hole, as much as I’d like them to. They’re £220, you see, and in the week before pay day, that’s not a sum that’s going to be spent on shoes. It IS the sale price, though: these originally cost twice as much as that, so they’re still a bargain of sorts, and if you want to get them while you still can, click here!

OK, I actually can’t BELIEVE I haven’t shown you these shoes already. I mean, look at them! They’ve been on the Office website for a while now in plain black leather, and I’ve noticed them a few times, but haven’t got round to writing about them. Now that I’ve seen the red patent versions, though, they’ve gone straight onto my wish list. Adorable.

You can buy them at Office, where they’re £65, but do me a favour: leave some size 4s for me, eh?

Steve Madden ‘Toppazz’ courts with frill detail

steve madden toppazz Steve Madden Toppazz courts with frill detailThese shoes actually come in six different colours, but I’ve chosen two to show you here: the red because it’s my favourite, and the leopard print because… well, because it’s just the loudest. Actually, when I look at the two side by side, the leopard print almost looks like a different shoe, but other than colour or fabric, they’re the same style: that ruffle detail is supposed to sit slightly to the side of the shoe, although the photo makes it look like it goes all the way across the toe on the red pair.

Speaking of the red pair, I love them. The leopard, not so much, but the bright blue these also come in is rather nice. Other than those, these are available in black, cream and grey, and are $99.99 at Steve Madden. What do you think of them?

One day, this horrible weather is going to end, and the sun’s going to come back out. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day it will happen. And when that blessed day comes, I’m probably going to want to buy something a lot like these red stripe pumps from Miss Selfridge. Because, yes, I’m STILL obsessed with stripes. And because they’ll merge seamlessly with my warm-weather wardrobe, which consists almost exclusively of shades of blue, white and red.

Ah, but summer is still a long, long way away. Shame: these are only £15, too!

Lanvin red patent and suede high heeled pumps

    by
    2

red lanvin pumps Lanvin red patent and suede high heeled pumpsI’d imagine most of my regular readers have probably worked out by now that red is one of my very favourite shoe colours. Despite that, though, I don’t actually own a huge amount of red shoes, because I seem to be on a permanent search for that elusive, perfect pair. Are these red Lanvin pumps The Ones? Not quite, but I do love them, and I suspect they’re the kind of shoes that look better in person than they do on the screen. The combination of patent and suede makes them more interesting, and less brash, than patent on its own would have been, and then, of course, there’s that pointed heel, giving them a touch of drama.

If you have £538 burning a hole in your bank account, you can buy them here.
