Black and hot pink is normally way too 80s-tastic for me, but in the case of these Fendi sandals, I’m willing to overlook it – in fact, I think it really makes the shoe.  In plain black, these would’ve been nice, but in this two-tone upper they’re even nicer, with the bright pink straps and heel giving them a bit of extra style. The problem with a colour this bright, however, is that it’s not particularly versatile, and that would be a problem for me given that these cost $720. If it wouldn’t be a problem for you, however, you can buy them at Bergdorf Goodman.

Moda in Pelle ‘Molli’ peep toes now on sale

It’s been a while since I last looked at the Moda in Pelle website, so I decided to rectify that today, and found these cute little ‘Molli’ peep toes are now on sale.  I, of course, like them for the triple-bow on the front, but I also like the colours available – the bright pink is pretty, and will add some much-needed colour to black dresses, or even jeans, while the beige is less-exciting on its own, but will go with almost anything.

These are currently reduced to £40, and you can grab a pair here.

    Valentino bow thong sandals

valentino bow thong sandals Valentino bow thong sandalsI know flip-flops aren’t exactly practical at the moment for those of us in the Northern hemisphere, but as readers of my personal blog might know, I’m heading off to the sun (or at least I hope there’ll be sun) to relax for a couple of weeks, so I’m finding myself once again drawn to unseasonable shoes!

These pink flip-flops are by Valentino, and feature the famous Valentino bow on the front. I, of course, love them, but at $171.29 is waaaay more than I’m in the habit of spending on flip-flops, so these must remain a fantasy purchase for me. If you want to make them a reality, however, they’re also available in black, and you can buy them at Nordstrom.

This decked-with-bows look is one we’ve seen cropping up a lot this year, and I’ve shown you a few examples of it already. I’m going to surprise even myself here by admitting that I’m not keen on it: one bow is generally more than enough for me, and any more than that starts to feel like overkill, but I know someone out there will love these , pepto-bismol colour and all. If that person is you, they’re £40 from New Look.

Rene Caovilla boudoir shoes Shoe Kryptonite: Peep toe shoes with ankle fastening by Rene Caovilla

I’ve criticised shoes in the past for reminding me too much of lingerie. These Rene Caovilla sandals ALSO make me think of lingerie, but this time in a good way. A really good way. In fact, they’re just delicious, aren’t they? They have a real “boudoir” feel to them: if I owned them I think I’d want to wear them around the house , paired with a silk negligee and a glass of chilled champagne. Decadent, feminine and, well, just sex-on-a-stiletto, basically, the 790 price tag will unfortunately prevent that little scenario ever being played out Chez Shoeper, but if you think they’re worth it, you can buy them here.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I could swear these shoes are sticking their tongues out at me. They are, aren’t they! The cheek of it!

Strange “tongue” detail aside, these are great fun, although I’m finding it easier to picture them on Barbie than on actual human beings. The cut-out at the back of the heel is obviously the stand-out detail here, but I actually think the bright pink colour is what really makes them stand out.

If you want to be a Barbie girl, these are 587 from Moschino.

Pink mega platform court shoes from Dorothy Perkins

These shoes are another example of the huge platforms that are oh-so-fashionable at the moment so, aside from the bright pink colour, at first glance there’s not a whole lot to set them apart from the rest of the shoes we’ve been seeing in this style.

What’s different about these ones, however, is the price: these are just £38 at Dorothy Perkins, which makes them much more affordable than the very similar styles Office, Kurt Geiger et al (not to mention Yves Saint Laurent) have been bringing out, especially for a shoe that you probably wouldn’t get a huge amount of wear out of. Certainly not if you tend to do lots of walking, anyway…
