For those of you who like your shoes “girlie”, well, it doesn’t get much girlier than pink uppers with sparkly bows, does it?
Despite the sparkles, though, the front of this shoe manages to balance out the back quite well, and stops it looking too much like it came straight from Barbie’s wardrobe: the fact that it’s a dusky pink rather than a bubblegum pink helps with that, too. If you’re still not convinced, though, worry not: these also come in blue:
and black:
neither of which looks too OTT, despite the blinged-up heels.
What do you think of these? They’re £199.95 and you can click here to buy them at Moda in Pelle.
I know Cinderella wore a glass slipper, but I think she might have been just as pleased with her namesake shoes by Moda in Pelle, too. Well, glass just doesn’t sound comfortable for a shoe, does it?
These are available in pink and beige, and while my instinct was to show you the pink version, seen above, I’m also rather keen on the beige:
The pattern on the heel and toe looks a bit like lace from a distance and gives these a lovely, delicate look: somehow “Cinderella” seems like a fitting name for them! The pale colours would make both of these shoes very easy to style, but which ones would you go for?

I’ve described these shoes as “cut out wedges”, purely because Moda in Pelle did, and, well, it’s their shoe, so they get to call it whatever they like. Really, though, it’s just a very chunky heel, with a very thick platform, creating that almost-wedge-but-not-quite shape. I’d be interested to know if these are as comfortable to walk in as wedges tend to be, though: that would be another point in their favour, if so.
The very chunky shape of these shoes is very much of the moment: we’ll be seeing a lot more of this kind of shape this summer, but I think Moda in Pelle have done a particularly good job here, with the bow and t-bar helping make these shoes stand out.
These are £89.95 and are also available with a snake-print upper. Click here to buy them.
As regular readers know, I’m partial to a bit of leopard print on shoes, and I’ve had my eye on these Moda in Pelle ‘Cariah’ peep toes for a while now. As well as the print, these also have a fabulous red heel and platform, plus a cute little curled detail at the toe, which helps them stand out from the many other pairs of animal print peep toes out there (some of which may even be residing in my closet as we speak).
These are £99 and I’d wear them with a pair of jeans, or a black pencil skirt, with bright red toenails to finish off the look: click here to buy a pair.
A simple, sleek ankle boot which will fit under trousers but also look good with skirts and dresses is a wardrobe staple, as far as I’m concerned, and the fact that Moda in Pelle’s ‘Kenya’ is available in green, as well as in black and brown, just makes them even more perfect, no?
This is a very dark green, which could almost pass for black in some lights, so you should be able to wear them with many of the same colours you’d wear black boots with – or, of course, you could just go for the black ones themselves if that’s your preference. What can I say, green is my favourite colour…
The product description for these shoes tells me they’re suede: I actually think the uppers look like velvet, but I’m going to take Moda in Pelle at their word for it, and they look good regardless of what they’re made of.
I love the navy colour of these: it’s a colour we’ve seen a lot of this year (well, I certainly have, anyway: I can’t speak for the rest of you…) and it makes a nice alternative to black. Speaking of black, however, these shoes are also available in that shade too, and while I’d have loved to see these in some brighter colours, the darker versions will make them very versatile.
I know I’m currently obsessed with purple boots, but for those of you who don’t share that obsession, Moda in Pelle have thoughtfully provided these boots in black, too, in both suede and leather.
If I was rich, I’d want all three of these, but if I could only pick one, I’d go for the purple versions, which are the ones that instantly jumped out at me from the web page. These can be worn folded down, as shown in the picture, or turned up as over-the-knee boots. They’re £149 and you can click here to buy them from Moda in Pelle.
I absolutely love these ‘Imogen’ sandals by Moda in Pelle, which may not seem like too much of a budget pick at £85, but which are at least considerably less than the designer option many brides go for. I don’t think many people could tell the difference, either: these have lots of style, a sophisticated shape, and I really like the fact that the bow embellishment is suede, making a nice contrast with the satin uppers.
