Celebrity Shoes: Melody Thornton in Jeremy Scott’s ‘bone’ mules

jeremy scott bone shoesRemember those Jeremy Scott bone mules I showed you a couple of months ago? Well, I finally managed to catch someone in the act of wearing them! This is Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, seen wearing the shoes to Perez Hilton’s 32nd birthday party this weekend. The theme was Carn-Evil, and some of the guests took the “dress up” theme very literally, but Melody sensibly chose to let the shoes do the talking, pairing them with a little black dress and, er, a pair of fingerless Chanel gloves.

I know I probably shouldn’t, but I can’t help quite liking these shoes. Does the sight of them on a foot change your mind about them at all?

I mean, sophisticated, vintage-style, shape, some kind of cute embellishment on the front. There’s nothing prehistoric about these, is there?

Then I looked at the view from above:

Ah. Now I get it: it’s what Pebbles Flintstone wore when she grew up. I still can’t decide, though: are these pleasantly quirky, or are they just too cartoonish for words? Yaba-daba-DO, or yaba-daba-DON’T?
