    Marc Jacobs heart platform sandals

marc jacobs heart shoes Marc Jacobs heart platform sandalsI expect there are some people out there who will absolutely love these shoes. I’m not one of them, though: while, generally speaking, hearts-on-shoes tend to set MY heart all a-flutter, these ones are garish, loud, and just a little bit tacky. Or maybe a LOT tacky, depending on your opinion.

The fact that they’ve been heavily discounted over at The Outnet makes me suspect I’m not the only one to feel this way about them – they were £705 and are now £211. That’s still pretty expensive, though, especially for a shoe that’s probably not going to be the most versatile style out there.

Want them? Get them here, if so.

Lucky Brand ‘Becky’ heart-front flat slingbacks

flat shoes with hearts Lucky Brand Becky heart front flat slingbacksI seem to have made it my mission in life (or one of them, anyway) to show you every pair of heart-embellished shoes ever made, so today I’m dutifully reporting the existence of these ‘Becky’ flats by Lucky Brand.

The colour is described as “carrot”, which is a trifle unusual, but these look more tan than orange on my monitor, and I think they’d be perfect for a cute, casual look: the fact that the heart is the same colour as the rest of the shoe means it’s a little less “in your face” than some heart-fronted shoes I could mention.

Want to try them on? They’re $79 at Piperlime.

    Alexander McQueen heart peep toes

alexander mcqueen heart pee Alexander McQueen heart peep toesThey’re not a new style, but I was actually quite surprised to realise that Alexander McQueen’s heart peep toes hadn’t yet appeared here, so here they are! This black patent and bright yellow version is currently available at Net-a-Porter, where they’re selling for £375. I much preferred the bright red version that was released earlier this year, but those are much harder to come by these days, so if you really want to see your toes peep through a heart (now there’s a strange image, if ever I heard one!) these could be your best bet!

Miss L Fire Renaissance heart courts

miss l fire heart shoes Miss L Fire Renaissance heart courtsI know I spent most of the summer obsessing over shoes with hearts on them, but these ones just aren’t doing it for me – or not at first glance, anyway. I kind of feel that they’d look better with a low wedge heel rather than this particular shape, but then again, the more I look at them, the more I think they could just work with the right outfit, and they’re definitely the type of shoes that make you look twice, particularly in this colour. And now I feel like I’ve talked myself around. Hmmm. What do you think?

Roger Vivier pink satin sandals with strass hearts

Now, I love Roger Vivier shoes. Love ‘em. They’re designed by Bruno Frisoni and, well, I love Bruno Frisoni.

With that disclaimer out of the way, I hope Bruno will forgive me if I admit to a certain lack of love for these pinks sandals. That’s not two different shoes you see there, you see. No, that’s the pair. The fact that each shoe has different stuff stuck to it makes me uncomfortable. I don’t really know why. I think they would make me feel unbalanced (literally, I mean. Not mentally. I more or less always feel mentally unbalanced.). Plus the fact that they’re pink shoes with giant red and black hearts stuck to them, of course. And the fact that they’re £824. What do you think?

    Roger Vivier heart ankle boots

roger vivier heart boots Roger Vivier heart ankle bootsI seem to have made a habit of showing you every pair of heart embellished shoes I come across on my travels, so I figured boots should be no exception!

These ones are by Roger Vivier, and ironically, although I’m generally a huge fan of the brand, they’re probably my least favourite of all the heart-shaped shoes I’ve been showing you recently: and perhaps the cheapest looking too. This is also ironic, because they’re by far the most expensive at £845, but while the boot itself looks high quality, and is a lovely shape, the heart looks a little like an stuck-on afterthought to me, as do the “R” and “V” logos on the heels.

Highly visible logos are one of my pet hates, so I wouldn’t be wearing these even if they were much cheaper. If you would, though, you can buy them at Colette.

The latest addition to the “heart front shoe” trend that’s been popping up every now and again!

After the Lady Dragon shoes didn’t work out for me, I’ve now transferred my affections to these, which are by Kate Spade, and are $325 at Nordstrom. I love the poppy red suede, which is the perfect colour for these, and although the heart is cute, it’s not too obtrusive. Buy them here (but leave some for me, if you would…)
