Harajuku Lovers ‘Abilly’ suede wedges with heart peep toes

harajuku lovers peep toes Harajuku Lovers Abilly suede wedges with heart peep toes

These shoes were pointed out to me by reader Ellen, who suggested they might be a slightly more subtle option for those of us who like to wear our hearts on our shoes! I completely agree, and while I still think Alexander McQueen did heart-shaped peep toes best, these ones are at least significantly less pricey at just $39.99.

If I could wish for one thing with these, it would be a selection of brighter colours, but if you’re looking for a low-heeled grey or black wedge, you can find these here.

Grey oversized bow shoes from Miss Selfridge

These shoes aren’t new: they’ve been available on the Miss Selfridge site for a few weeks now, but it’s taken me that long to work out how I felt about them! I’ve finally decided that I love them, though: or at least, I think I do. They’re kinda over-the-top, and I’ve no idea how they’d actually look on a foot, but I think they’re lots of fun, and I really love the dots (which are going to be big this year. I’ve decided.). They also very much remind me of some of the Charlotte Olympia styles from last year, as they have a similar, slightly-cartoonish feel about them.

What do you think of these, readers? If you like them, you’ll be pleased to know they’re a relatively affordable £40, and you can buy them here.

Dune J’adore double diamante satin bow courts

dune jadore pumps Dune Jadore double diamante satin bow courtsThese shoes are particularly well named, I think, because I don’t know about you, but j’adore. I suspect that’s probably the reaction Dune were expecting when they chose that particular name.

In the continuing bid to attach bows to places other than the toe, they’ve put these ones on the heels, and given them a generous sprinkling of diamante, too. The result is a special-occasion shoe that combines a simple shape with a bit of pizazz, and which also comes in black, should you prefer it.

Purple and grey suede slouch boots from Dorothy Perkins

suede slouch boots Purple and grey suede slouch boots from Dorothy PerkinsI have a bit of a “thing” for purple boots at the moment. Fi has a a fantastic pair from Next that I rather like the look of, but these ones from Dorothy Perkins have also caught my eye. The purple makes a nice change from black, but is also dark enough and neutral enough to be fairly versatile.

I also like the grey version of these, and the low-ish heel should make them easy to walk in. As ever with suede shoes/boots, I worry about taking them out in the rain (which pretty much rules out wearing them at all around here, unfortunately), but if you have similar concerns, the style is also available in brown leather.
