SHOES: Charlotte Russe gold wedges (last saved here and here)
    OUTFIT: Photos here
    SAVED: Sunday, May 27th, 2012

One last shoe save from last weekend! These shoes are from Charlotte Russe, and I don’t have a whole lot to say about them, because they’re a couple of years old now, which means that if you’re a regular reader, you’ve seen them twice before. I think these were around $15, or something equally ridiculous, and the quality is pretty much what you’d expect for that kind of price: some of the “cork” on the heel has started to chip now, and these really have seen better days, but I keep them around anyway, because they’re really comfortable, and come in handy for hot summer days when I’m going to be doing a fair bit of walking, but don’t want to wear flats. Last Sunday was one of those days, and, again, we took WAY too many photos, so I’ve posted some more over at my other blog, if you feel like taking a look.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

  2. Shoe Save # 39/75: Busted

    WHAT: Charlotte Russe gold wedges
WHEN: Sometime in late July/early August 2011
    WHERE: I… honestly can’t remember
WITH: Blazer and belt (New Look), dress (H&M).

So, I wasn’t going to show you these photos. They were taken at the end of the day, my hair was a mess, my forehead was shiny, my makeup had started to slide off my face… I just hated them. So I figured I’d just wear the shoes again some other day, and take a different, hopefully better, set of photos.

Well, that day didn’t come, and looking at the weather forecast, it really doesn’t look like it’s going to. Folks, I am in trouble here, with the shoe saving. It has rained steadily for almost two weeks now. It shows no sign of stopping. The schools here started back today, signalling the end of the summer, and the start of even worse weather  than we’ve had so far. I have TEN PAIRS of summer shoes still left to save. Oh. My. God.

Anyway. Here I am, on a random day earlier this summer, when it was obviously a little warmer than it is now. And here at the shoes, which were from Charlotte Russe last summer, and are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own.

Now, how on EARTH am I going to get through ten pairs of summer shoes when it won’t stop raining?

  3. Shoeper Shoe Challenge # 27: Celebration

    What: Charlotte Russe gold wedges
    When: June 1st, 2010
Where: Out to dinner at Celebration, Florida
With: Blue dress (H&M); hat (bought here); sailboat pendant (New Look)

My new gold wedges have already been earning their keep… I wore them earlier this week to dinner at one of my favourite places in the world: the town of Celebration, Florida, which was designed and created by Disney as the perfect American town, complete with schools, businesses, a shopping district and basically everything else you could possibly need. (Except shoe shops. No shoe shops in Celebration that I’ve seen, but I’ll forgive it because it’s so pretty…). My parents and I first went there years ago, when they were just starting to lay the foundations for some of the buildings, and we’ve been back almost every year since to see how the town has grown. Definitely one of the places I’d most like to live, although Palm Beach, where we spent yesterday, comes very high on the list too.

As for the wedges, they’re super-comfortable, as I discovered on a one mile walk around the Celebration lake after dinner!
