WOW.
That’s really the only word for these, isn’t it?
Well, OK, maybe you can think of a few others. And maybe they wouldn’t all necessarily be complimentary, because, after all, that’s a whole lot of sequins right there. But still:

I realise this is the second pair of nude (on me) shoe boots I’ve shown you recently, but please indulge my current obsession with this style: my mind has started to turn to winter, and these are just much too lovely to ignore.
They’re by Givenchy, and they’re also lovely in black: I think these would be perfect with a pair of 40s-style trousers, or something equally tailored: they have a kind of understated glamour about them that’s very appealing, especially when winter rolls around.
The downside, of course, is the price: these are $795 at Barneys.

Now, I know these are technically peep-toe boots, and I’ve always held firm on my dislike of peep-toe boots, but I actually think these are really pretty, and I don’t even care about the toe. Fickleness, thy name is Shoeperwoman.
I think the delicate look of these boots is what makes me able to overlook the peep toe – and the fact that they’re lace, which is another thing I’ve never been overly fond of. They have a very ethereal, barely-there look about them, and while I can imagine wearing them with an equally delicate dress, I can also imagine them with a pair of black skinny jeans, too.
Is this the start of a new love for peep toes on boots? I really hope not, but never say never…*
They’re £529 at Far Fetch.
*Unless you’re talking about Crocs, obviously. Then you should ALWAYS say “never”.

These shoes are just begging to have the word “fierce” used to describe them, aren’t they?
I hate the fashion-related use of the word “fierce”, though, so instead all I’ll say is “wow!”. I’m actually not sure whether that’s an admiring “wow” or a “wow” of horror, though: these are definitely amazing to look at, but I think I’d rather keep on looking at them rather than actually wear them.
What do you think? They’re by Givenchy, and they’re seen here on Garcelle Beauvais, who wore them with a Versace dress, to the world premiere of Valentine’s Day this week. Full outfit shot under the jump…

Feathers are huge at the moment, and these shoes are fronted by some pretty huge feathers, so I guess that makes them the very height of fashion.Or something.
I’ve said before that I only really like feathers when they’re still attached to birds, but there’s no denying that these cut a dramatic shape, and have a bit of a vintage feel to them too, which I’m sure will delight some of you. Will the price be just as delightful? It’s $1,150, so you tell me…

These shoes look a bit like they’ve been hewn out of rock to be – albeit a very shiny, sparkly piece of rock! They’re by Givenchy, and although they’re studded (you know, just like almost every other shoe that’s around at the moment?) the all-black colour sets them apart from all the rest.
They’re not shoes I’d personally buy (although given that I wouldn’t buy ANY shoes that cost £1,118 that’s not really saying much), but somehow I just can’t stop looking at them, and I suspect they’ll have a similar effect on a lot of other people, too. Which, of course, is the whole point, isn’t it?

Drawstrings aren’t my favourite thing to see on boots, but I was actually relieved to know that these at least had one, because at first glance they looked like boots for giants.
Now I know they’re not, however, I’ve reverted back to hating the drawstring. I’d need to see them on an actual leg, of course, but a drawstring on a boot that wide just seems like it would look a little odd: like your leg was encased in some kind of leather inflatable. Or like your boots were so large you had to actually tie them to your leg.
Of course, I could be totally wrong, and if you think I am, you can buy these from Louisa Via Roma. Be ready to cough up $1,470 for the pleasure, though.
