Let’s just go directly to the main attraction on these shoes, shall we?

Something about it is bothering me, and I have no idea what it is. I want to love it, but somehow… I don’t. That’s OK, though, because luckily there are plenty of other things to love about these shoes, the pink/purple/gold colour mix being one of them. And, actually, when I look at them from this angle:

I could probably be won over.

What do you think of these? They’re £150 and you can click here to buy them from Carvela.

Carvela pink suede ‘Gypsy’ slingbacks

Hot pink suede! Just the thing for a dull, grey morning!

Actually, these ‘Gypsy’ sandals by Carvela will brighten up just about anything, from dress to jeans. The flowers and bows are maybe just a little bit too much for me (and yes, this is coming from a self-confessed flowers-and-bows lover), because I tend to think this style of shoe looks best when it’s kept as simple as possible, but they are very pretty, and will probably make the shoe even more attractive to someone else.

These are £140: click here to buy them.

Schuh ‘Thelma’ side rose court shoes

I’ve been really impressed with Schuh recently: almost every visit to their website ends with me adding yet another pair of beautiful shoes to my wish list, and today was no exception, because today I’ve been drooling over these ‘Thelma’ court shoes.

These come in pale green and pink, and I’d be hard pressed to decide which colour I like best. I think these shoes would be absolutely perfect with a 50s-style prom dress or circle skirt: they’d also make lovely bridesmaid shoes, with the advantage being that you could continue wearing them afterwards.

They’re £65, and if you can choose between them, you can click here to buy a pair.

Giuseppe Zanotti flower appliquéd leather sandals

At a time of year when I’m wearing boots almost every day, and summer still seems a very long way away, these floral sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti are just a breath of fresh air – or maybe that should be “a whiff of fresh flowers”?

Delicate and feminine in that way that only a pair of flower-bedecked sandals can be, these have a nude upper and a 4.5″ heel, and would make a beautiful pair of wedding shoes (with the added bonus of not being so weddingy you’d never be able to wear them again afterwards), although I also love  the way Net-a-Porter have styled them, with a simple shift dress which allows the footwear to be the focal point of the outfit. (Just the way it should be…)

Betsey Johnson pink ‘Eldoris’ flower wedges

betsey johnson pink flower wedges Betsey Johnson pink Eldoris flower wedgesThese look a little bit like shoes from a cartoon, but I mean that in the nicest possible way, because they’re just as cute as cute can be, aren’t they? I know baby pink isn’t to everyone’s taste, but pair it with a yellow flower, a green leaf and stick it on a chunky wedge sandal and I’m pretty much sold. These are the kind of shoes that would make even the dullest outfit seem interesting (mostly because everyone would be staring at your feet), and they just scream “summer”, which is always a good thing as far as I’m concerned.

I also love the attention to detail you get with Betsey Johnson shoes - that leopard print insole is the perfect finishing touch!

Faith orange ‘Cerys’ peep toe stiletto sandals

faith cerys peep toe platforms Faith orange Cerys peep toe stiletto sandalsI was so excited to find these shoes online: my local TK Maxx has had a few pairs of these the last couple of times I’ve been in there, and I think they’re much nicer in real life than they look in this photo (and I’d say more of a coral colour than an orange, too). Of course, TK Maxx didn’t have them in my size, or they’d definitely have been coming home with me: Debenhams, on the other hand, still have them in everything except a size 9, although at £26, they’re a little more expensive than the ones in TK Maxx, which I think were £20, although I could well be mistaken about that.

Like them? Click here to buy them at Debenhams (or take your chances and check out TK Maxx!).

Valentino’s Floral-Applique Biker Boot: for girlie biker chicks

For the biker who also loves flowers

These boots made me laugh so much: I mean, trust Valentino to add flowers to a biker boot! So typical of the brand that loves bows and flowers almost as much as I do!

As much as this may surprise some of you to know, I actually really like the classic biker boot – and I prefer it when it doesn’t come with accessories. If you think flowers give these ones that extra little something, though, they’re $1,485 and you can buy them at Saks.
