Vionnet Rose/Gold Leather Flower Sandals

These shoes are such a thing of beauty that I knew as soon as I laid eyes on them that they’d be appearing here soon!

I found these at Stylebop.com, who describe them as “crazy trendy”. Well, OK…I actually think they’re pretty classic myself, and they have something of a vintage look to them, too: I can imagine them being worn with a long evening gown, by a glamorous, red-lipsticked woman, back in the 20s or 30s, somehow. Of course, these would be equally at home with a more modern outfit, and will add a delicate, feminine touch to almost anything.

These are also available in black, although it’s the pink version which has really won my heart! They’re £503, and you can click here to buy a pair.

Dune ‘Daisy’ pink and white slingback shoes

dune daisy slingback shoes Dune Daisy pink and white slingback shoesDune have been making some really lovely shoes this summer – in fact, I’m almost afraid to look at their website because every time I do, I seem to find something else to add to my wish list.

The latest pair of shoes to catch my attention are these ‘Daisy’ slingbacks, which combine a white canvas upper with a pink suede sole and trim, and a gorgeous, multicoloured daisy, which gives the shoes their name. When I look at these I instantly think they’d be perfect for a day at the races, for some reason. I don’t have any such days planned, however, but, well, I’m sure I could work something out.

These are £85: click here to buy them.

Giambattista Valli flower-wrap ankle-wrap sandals

gb flower shoes Giambattista Valli flower wrap ankle wrap sandalsFlowers on shoes are far from an unusual sight, but these Giambattista Valli sandals have managed to interpret the look in a really unusual way: those flowers look almost like they’re growing on the shoe, as opposed to being placed there.

I love the cream and black colour combination on these, and something tells me they’re probably even more stunning in real life than they are in the photo. Sadly, that’s something I’m going to just have to keep guessing about, because these have a “look, but don’t touch” price-tag of $762. If you just can’t resist, you can click here to buy them from Neiman Marcus.

Schuh ‘Yana’ turquoise suede court shoes

I’ve had my beady little eyes on these shoes fir a while now, and I bet I don’t have to explain why, do I?

First up, is the colour. It’s the perfect shade of turquoise/pale green – I could look at it all day, and while the fact that Schuh have added a metallic flower embellishment in the same colour certainly helps add to the effect, these would’ve been almost as striking without it, thanks to that gorgeous shade of green. I’m also really liking the trend for chunkier heels that’s going on at the moment: these are 4.7″ high, but still look like they’d be relatively comfortable – and don’t worry, there’s also a concealed platform, to make them feel lower than they are.

These are also available in black, and are £75. Click here to buy them.

Nina Ricci flower detail sandal

Let’s just proceed directly to the stand-out feature of these shoes, shall we? The giant, plexi flower on the toe:

It’s quite something, isn’t it? Strangely (for me, anyway), it seems to be attached to a vaguely “sensible” looking shoe, whereas I’d prefer to see an embellishment like this attached to something a little more delicate. Still, the chunky heel should help increase the comfort factor of these, and perhaps make them a little more wearable, too, by combining the extravagant detailing with a fairly plain upper.

Moda in Pelle pink ‘Cinderella’ peep toes

I know Cinderella wore a glass slipper, but I think she might have been just as pleased with her namesake shoes by Moda in Pelle, too. Well, glass just doesn’t sound comfortable for a shoe, does it?

These are available in pink and beige, and while my instinct was to show you the pink version, seen above, I’m also rather keen on the beige:

The pattern on the heel and toe looks a bit like lace from a distance and gives these a lovely, delicate look: somehow “Cinderella” seems like a fitting name for them! The pale colours would make both of these shoes very easy to style, but which ones would you go for?

Carvela Kuchina pink flower-front wedges

Let’s just go directly to the main attraction on these shoes, shall we?

Something about it is bothering me, and I have no idea what it is. I want to love it, but somehow… I don’t. That’s OK, though, because luckily there are plenty of other things to love about these shoes, the pink/purple/gold colour mix being one of them. And, actually, when I look at them from this angle:

I could probably be won over.

Carvela pink suede ‘Gypsy’ slingbacks

Hot pink suede! Just the thing for a dull, grey morning!

Actually, these ‘Gypsy’ sandals by Carvela will brighten up just about anything, from dress to jeans. The flowers and bows are maybe just a little bit too much for me (and yes, this is coming from a self-confessed flowers-and-bows lover), because I tend to think this style of shoe looks best when it’s kept as simple as possible, but they are very pretty, and will probably make the shoe even more attractive to someone else.
