Pink Calypso bow court shoes from Faith

faith calypso bow shoes Pink Calypso bow court shoes from Faith

I was sure I’d already shown you these shoes, but I haven’t: it’s just that we’ve seen so many of these “multiple bow” styles recently that they’ve all started to blend into one another a little bit. That’s presumably a sign that this style is popular at the moment, though, so what do you think of these? They have suede uppers, three bows at the front, and if you’re not a lover of hot pink, they also come in taupe.

Although I tend not to go for shoes with more than one embellishment (I’m a ‘less is more’ kinda girl in that respect), I do think these could be lots of fun, and an easy way to brighten up a dull day or outfit. If you agree, you can buy yourself a pair at Faith, where they’re £60.

Faith’s pink satin ‘Lorna’ platform sandals

faith lorna sandals Faiths pink satin Lorna platform sandalsThis is my second pink shoe pick of the day, but these ‘Lorna’ sandals from Faith are a little less vivid than the Tory Burch numbers I showed you earlier today – in fact, in the right light, they could almost pass as nude. That’s good news in the “will go with anything” stakes, and actually, I think these shoes are good news all round: I’m loving t-bar styles in general at the moment, and these combine a t-bar shape with satin uppers, a generous platform and a pretty little diamante detail on the toe.

These are also available in grey, with a black platform, but I think this pale pink is the nicer of the two colours. If you want to see for yourself, they’re £65 from Faith.

Pewter crossover ‘Tia’ sandals from Faith

Up until a few years ago, it used to be the case that most evening shoes were delicate, strappy creations, that could barely be seen on the foot. Those styles still have their place, of course (they’re fantastic if you’re wearing a statement dress, and don’t want to detract attention from it with your shoes), but they do start to blend into one another after a while, so I’ve started to lean towards chunkier shoes, like these ones from Faith, when it comes to evening wear.

Although these will cover quite a bit of the foot, they’re still very glamorous: for some reason I keep picturing them worn with a white, Marilyn Monroe-style halter-neckdress, but the pewter colour will work with almost anything, and although they’re great to look at in their own right, they won’t steal too much attention away from whatever else you’re wearing, either.

These are £60, and you can buy them at Faith.

Faith Chevelli knot-front suede court shoes

faith chevelli court shoes Faith Chevelli knot front suede court shoesAlong with bows and hearts and jewels and, oh, all kinds of other things, I’m quite partial to a big ol’ knot on the front of a shoe. I know that sounds like a strange thing to be a fan of, but when you look at these knot-front suede court shoes from Faith, maybe you’ll see what I mean.

Orange is this season’s hot colour right now (no pun intended), but as much as I love the shoe on the left of this photo, I also really like the black version on the right, which would make an elegant pump for work, or for anything you want to look a little bit “smart” for. Lovely.

    Faith’s orange ‘Lucy’ slingback sandals

This is about the fourth pair of orange shoes I’ve spotted in the past week alone, which makes me think orange is probably going to be a big colour for this summer. I’ve surprised myself by liking almost all of them so far, but these ‘Lucy’ slingbacks from Faith aren’t going onto my wish list. Without the crystals, they just might have made it: they have a lovely shape, and as I said, I’m fairly digging the ol’ orange right now, but embellishments like this always look really cheap to me, and these in particular have a bit of a “DIY” look to them, as if the shoe didn’t originally look like that, and someone just came along and stuck on the “jewels” for a joke. It’s a shame, because they’d have been rather lovely without them.

If you think they’re fine just as they are, these are £70, are also available in silver, and you can buy a pair here.

Faith ‘Cing’ point-toed platform court shoes

faith cing shoes1 Faith Cing point toed platform court shoesThese shoes have a real “supervillain” feel to them, don’t they? I think it’s something to do with that high”collar” detail at the heel. It reminds me of this:

She’d totally wear these shoes, wouldn’t she? They’re all angles and sharp edges, and there’s something very hard about them: so much so, in fact, that I think I’ll be giving them a miss. What do you think of them, though? Do you like them enough to spend £80 on them, I wonder? If so, you’ll find them at Faith.

Faith ‘Clippy’ court shoes with zips

Yeah, I know: it’s a ruffle with a zip on it. Haven’t seen THAT before, have we?

Sarcasm aside, the “ruffle-trimmed-with-a-zip” look doesn’t seem to be going anywhere fast, and more than one shoe designer seems to have wholly abandoned themselves to it lately. Faith are the latest brand aboard the bandwagon, with these ‘Clippy’ court shoes, and as much as I’m starting to find the zip/ruffle thing a little bit tired, I just can’t dislike these: not when they’re bright blue, suede, and cute. (And the black’s not bad either.) These also come with another benefit: a heel which is that bit lower than the usual skyscrapers, although it’s still not exactly what you’d call “low”.

Like them? If you do, they’re £55 from here.

Faith’s ‘Clarency’ pumps with frilled toe caps

faith clarency court shoes Faiths Clarency pumps with frilled toe capsWe’ve been seeing a lot of toe-cap pumps around lately, but Faith have gone for a lovely beige/brown mix with these ‘Clarency’ pumps, which makes them a little more unusual. The pink version which is also available is just a little too pink for my tastes, but I’m sure it’ll have its fans, too and the overall look of the shoe helps prevent it being too Barbie-esque.

This is a classic style, in some slightly unexpected colours, which help bring it up to date. These cost £65, and you can buy them here.
