Beautiful Bridal Shoes: Miu Miu crystal-heel silk-satin sandals

The white uppers say “wedding shoes”, but that crystal heel says… well, actually it ALSO says “wedding shoes, or at least shoes for some very special occasion, the likes of which Shoeperwoman never gets invited to,” doesn’t it?

Damn, I really want to get re-married now. I knew it was a mistake to watch the royal wedding on TV.

If you are getting married, or can think of another occasion on which white, sparkly sandals would be appropriate (I can think of loads, right off the top of my head. Walking the dog, for instance. Washing the dishes. Watching TV. Going to the supermarket. See? Totally versatile!), these are £535 at Net-a-Porter: click here to buy them.

Dune ‘Sambala’ peep toe pumps

The curved sides of these shoes could easily have convinced me they were a designer style, had I not found them on the Dune website.

They’re called ‘Sambala’, they’re also available in black patent, and while most eyes will go straight to that jewel-encrusted heel, it’s actually my least favourite part of the shoe, and I think these would’ve impressed me enough just by the shape of the uppers! Still, the heel does add something extra to what would otherwise be a very classic shoe, and are a little less “blingy” than some heels I could mention!

These are £85 from Dune.

Pink satin sandals with jewelled heels from Karen Millen

Oh, and the front isn’t bad, either:

I don’t know what it is about pink shoes right now, but I can’t seem to get enough of them, and these are as fun and frivolous as it gets. If you agree, you can buy yourself a pair for £150 at Karen Millen.

Wanted ‘Paraso’s shoes with embellised heel

Before we go any further here, I should probably make it clear that “Wanted” is the name of the brand that makes these shoes, not necessarily a comment on how I feel about them. In fact, not AT ALL a comment on how I feel about them, because I don’t think I DO want them. I think they look a bit like they’re wearing a little hat. Not just any old hat, either: one of those old-fashioned bathing caps, with all the flowers attached to them. Hmm.

Of course, now that I’ve allowed that image to creep into my head, I just can’t get rid of it. If you can, and you think these are the best things you’ve seen all week, head over to Westfield Fashion, where you can buy them for $299.

Well, it looks like Miu Miu is firmly back aboard the “jewelled heel” bandwagon.

These taupe platform sandals actually strike me as slightly strange candidates for the bejewelled treatment: the uppers look like “day” shoes, while those heels have “wear me to an exciting evening event” written all over them. Wherever, and whenever, you want to wear them, though, you’re going to need a spare £635 to do it. They’re available at Net-a-Porter.
