D&G Dolce & Gabbana closed toe butterfly pumps

dg butterfly pumps D&G Dolce & Gabbana closed toe butterfly pumpsWhat was I just saying about butterfly-style shoes?

These are another example of that trend, although the butterfly effect is far more blatant here than in the shoes I showed you earlier today. These shoes take a bit of getting used to: the embellishments on the front are pretty extravagant, and take up a lot of air-space around your feet, which I know will put some people off. If you’re not one of those people, though, the shoes are $675 at Endless.com.

Reader Nominated Shoe: D&G – Patent bow-back court shoe

nude bow shoes Reader Nominated Shoe: D&G Patent bow back court shoeShoeperwoman reader Mousy actually sent me a link to these D&G shoes a while ago, but I’m only now getting around to posting them, which just goes to show how organised I am.

I can totally see why Mousy liked these, though: of course the nude uppers and the bow would naturally appeal to me, too, although I think I’d probably prefer a finish other than lace. Still, a great shoe for a special occasion: they have a kind of decadent feel to them which makes me think of lingerie for some reason. That’s probably just me.

If you love these too, they’re by D&G, and will cost you £350 from here.

Dolce & Gabbana black, white and red peep toes on sale – but only in size 5

dg peep toes Dolce & Gabbana black, white and red peep toes on sale but only in size 5

All day today I’ve been finding the most adorable shoes, all on sale… and all only available in a size 5.

Given that I’m a size 4, this has made for a frustrating day, and I apologise if you’re now sharing that frustration, having realised that the shoes shown above are one of the pairs I’m talking about.

I’m a sucker for shoes in a red, black and white combination, and when those shoes are Dolce & Gabbana, and on sale for £119 (which, OK, isn’t cheap, but isn’t bad for D&G), I’m guaranteed to be even more smitten. I especially like the shape of the heel on these, and although I generally prefer my heels skinny, I think this shape works much better than a stiletto would here.

If you happen to be a size 5, you can pick these up at Yoox.com.

Dolce & Gabbana asymmetric patent leather cutout booties

dolce gabbana cutout boot Dolce & Gabbana asymmetric patent leather cutout bootiesI had thought the time to be looking at anything that could even remotely be described as a “boot” had long since passed this year, but the awful weather we had over the weekend has persuaded me that, actually, a good pair of ankle or shoe boots could actually be a very sound buy at this time of year, when the weather is wet, but not cold enough for “proper” boots.

These asymmetric shoe boots by Dolce & Gabbana would be my first choice of such footwear, if only my budget could stretch that far. They’re cut high on the foot, and are made of patent leather, so your feet won’t get soaked in a summer shower, but they don’t compromise anything on style – in fact, quite the opposite. They’re sleek, sexy, and will work with everything from pencil skirts to skinny jeans: well, you have to justify the $550 price somehow, don’t you?
