I was lukewarm about Prada’s Spring 2011 collection yesterday, but I have no reservations whatsoever about D&Gs: it’s love!
With the exception of a couple of pairs of rubber boots, these shoes are all variations on the same theme: brightly coloured uppers, huge raffia platforms and giant corsages on the ankles. Some styles have open toes and some have closed, but they’re all still super-summery, and instantly memorable. I even like the rubber boots, although a cork sole on a rain boot seems like one of the least logical combinations ever.
Take a look at the gallery and don’t forget to let me know what you think!

What was I just saying about butterfly-style shoes?
Shoeperwoman reader Mousy actually sent me a link to these
T-bars are a seriously under-represented group in the Shoeperwoman shoe closet, mostly because my default outfit is a pair of skinny jeans (and a top of some kind, obviously), and for some reason the straps just never seem to sit right underneath them. Thes D&G t-bars aren’t doing a whole lot to change my mind, though, as although I love the fresh colours and brogue detailing, there’s something a bit “grannyish” about them, which stops me from loving them.
