Vince Camuto’s ‘Marcia’ suede rufle pumps in purple

vince camuto marcia Vince Camutos Marcia suede rufle pumps in purpleRecognise these? Yes, it’s yet ANOTHER version of the Christian Louboutin ‘Dillian’ pumps: or, as I like to think of them, “The style that just won’t die.”

These are by Vince Camuto, and I’m rather taken with the purple suede uppers. Every time I’ve ever worn my red Matalan versions of this style, though, I’ve worn them WITHOUT the ruffle, and I suspect that would probably be the case with these, too. If you think you’d get some use out of them, though, they’re $111 from Heels.com.

Black and white ‘Chezza’ platform peep toes from Faith

faith chezza peep toes Black and white Chezza platform peep toes from Faith

This particular shape of platform instantly makes me think of Nicholas Kirkwood, who I imagine was at least one of the inspirations behind Faith’s ‘Chezza’ peep toes.

Platform aside, I love the contrast of the black and white panels here, and the suede uppers and metallic lining give them a luxurious feel, too. Why must all of the shoes I like at the moment be suede: one of the worst possible fabrics for winter?

    Get them here, for £70.

Shoe Deja Vu: Christian Louboutin’s ‘Differa’ Vs Faith’s ‘Linky’

faith louboutin sandals1 Shoe Deja Vu: Christian Louboutin’s ‘Differa’ Vs Faith’s ‘Linky’

This one could be pushing it slightly on the comparison front, as there are a few big differences between these two shoes, but I definitely experienced a sense of deja vu when I looked at Faith’s ‘Linky’ sandals, so here they are!

They remind me of Christian Louboutin’s ‘Differa’, only with one less ankle strap, and a slightly different arrangement at the toe. Faith have also used a snake-print leather, although they’ve kept the red sole (which they have on all of their shoes, not just these ones).  These are available in silver and black, and are £80. The Louboutins, meanwhile, are no longer available, but would’ve set you back $1, 495. Ouch.

Oak black zipper boots: Balmain on a Budget

oak zipper boots1 Oak black zipper boots: Balmain on a Budget

They’re not exactly the same as the Balmain zipper boots Lindsay Lohan wore last week, and at $198, they’re not exactly “budget” offerings either, but they’re a helluva lot cheaper than the originals, which retail for £1,500.

These boots are by Oak, and have suede uppers with a total of five zips on each boots. You can buy them here.

Shoe Deja Vu: ASOS take on Nicholas Kirkwood with their blue buckle platform gladiator sandals

asos vs nicholas kirkwood Shoe Deja Vu: ASOS take on Nicholas Kirkwood with their blue buckle platform gladiator sandals

Nope, they’re definitely not identical twins, but the family resemblance is fairly obvious, no? That particular shape of platform is just always going to say “Nicholas Kirkwood” to me, and I’m sure that’s what ASOS intended with these ‘Hectic’ sandals , which also have a similar (although far from identical) buckle detail on the toe, too.

They’re metallic rather than suede, have three buckles rather than one, and are missing the slingback the Kirkwood shoes have, but I still felt a strong sense of deja vu when I saw them. The Kirkwood shoes are hard to get hold of now, but retailed for around £480. The ASOS versions, meanwhile, will cost you just £50 from the ASOS website.

Shoe Deja Vu: Jimmy Choo Vs Moda in Pelle

jimmy choo moda in pelle Shoe Deja Vu: Jimmy Choo Vs Moda in Pelle

These shoes aren’t exactly the same as each other – I think Moda in Pelle probably learned their lesson back when Gina sued them for copying designs! – but, well, they’re not too different either, are they?

The Jimmy Choos on the left of the picture are the ‘Grant’ satin peep toes (£516) and are one of my favourite Choo designs from recent years – wouldn’t they make a gorgeous pair of bridal shoes? The Moda in Pelle ‘Javelin’ peep toes on the right (£85) meanwhile, have the same satin uppers and jeweled sides, but there’s no denying that they look cheaper than the originals (which, of  course, is only to be expected, because they ARE cheaper!). They’re also available in black, from ModainPelle.com.

forever 21 valentino shoes Shoe Deja Vu: Valentiono/Forever 21 bow slingbacks

Those Valentino slingbacks I showed you back in May are fast becoming one of the most copied styles of the year. Paris Hilton is just one of the “designers” (I use that word in its loosest sense, you understand) to have been “inspired” (ditto) by them, and now Forever 21 are at it, too. Their version is black rather than the red, and the bow isn’t quite so jaunty, but the style is still unmistakable. They’re certainly cheaper than their designer counterparts, though: these shoes will set you back just $19.80 – which is cheaper that ol’ Paris’s versions, too.

Shoe Deja Vu: Steve Madden’s ‘Seryna’ Vs Alexander McQueen’s ‘Pelle’ boots

steve madden alexander mcqu Shoe Deja Vu: Steve Maddens Seryna Vs Alexander McQueens Pelle boots

They don’t really get much more blatant than Steve Madden, do they?

I wrote about Alexander McQueen’s ‘Pelle’ ankle boots back in May, but I clearly wasn’t the only one to have noticed these biker-style boots, because just a few months later, along comes Mr Madden with his ‘Seryna’, which are startlingly similar, to say the least.

The McQueen boots, mind you, are $1,159, while the Madden versions are a mere $129.95, so they’re not so similar in price. I’d be struggling to point out too many other differences, though…
