Every Friday for the past two years, I’ve brought you a “Friday Fix” featuring a pair of shoes from my very favourite designer, the master shoemaker himself, Christian Louboutin. (I’d call him “Shoeperman”, but my husband has already claimed that title…)
This Friday, I’m going to be off wrapping gifts and preparing for Christmas (and probably doing some last-minute shopping, knowing me: my shoeper-powers don’t extend to being organised for Christmas!), but I didn’t want to leave you without your fix, so today I bring you an entire year’s worth of Louboutins. Here are all (or most) of the Friday Fixes I’ve featured this year: you can consider it my Christmas gift to you, and trust me when I tell you that if I could give you the ACTUAL shoes themselves, I would. That’s how much I love my shoeper readers.
For now, sit back, enjoy the shoes, and feel free to tell me if you can pick out a favourite! Here are the best of Christian Louboutin shoes from the past 12 months!
(P.S. I should probably stress here that not all of these shoes are from the 2011 collection – that’s just when I featured them!)

You REALLY wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of these, would you? And you probably wouldn’t want to try to board an aircraft in them, either: it’s bad enough when they confiscate your tweezers, or some other small item you’ve forgotten to remove from your makeup bag – just imagine how you’d feel when airport security took away your $1595 Louboutins!
These are called ‘Asteroid’, and while the reaction among my readers generally isn’t very positive towards shoes with such extreme spikes, I had to show you them anyway, because they’re just so fabulous. In a possibly-painful kind of way, of course.
What do you think? I reckon I’m much too clumsy to be able to wear these without causing serious damage to someone/thing, but if you think you can limit the damage to your credit card, you can click here to buy a pair.

At this time of year, I see a lot of shoes declaring themselves – or being declared by others – to be “the ultimate Christmas party shoe”.
They’re all wrong, though.
THIS is the ultimate Christmas party shoe.
It’s Christian Louboutin’s ‘Maggie’ in gold, and it’s $1,395 from Neiman Marcus. I’m adding these to my Christmas list. Well, a girl can wish, can’t she?

Some of the SS2012 styles are starting to arrive on the Christian Louboutin website, so I picked one of the loudest of the lot for our Friday Fix this week!
This style is called “Bollywoody”, and Louboutin-lovers will no doubt recognise the simple silhouette of the Lady Peep underneath that Bollywood-esque exterior. As for the uppers, they’re bright pink suede with a hand-embroidered pattern which includes metallic threads, sequins and crystals: zoom into the image on the Louboutin site for a closer look!
Personally, I think the Lady Peep is at its best when it’s left unembellished, but that’s just my preference: if you love them loud, you can click here to join the waiting list – they’re scheduled to ship at the end of December, so I guess you can always try to justify them as a Christmas present to yourself!

Now, I know these are Pigalle pumps, and it’s not like I haven’t shown you them 100 times before here, but… I haven’t ever shown you the turquoise version, and that’s all the excuse I need to make these our Friday Fix.
They’re beautiful in every colour, but I think this one is particularly spectacular, don’t you?
These are $625: click here to buy them from Christian Louboutin’s official website.

My search for today’s Friday Fix was one of the quickest ever in the history of this site: these ‘Jenny’ slingbacks were the first pair of shoes that popped up in the Christian Louboutin section at Neiman Marcus, and I knew I need look no further, because it was love at first sight!
This is actually quite unusual for me, because despite all of the pink shoes I showed you last month, it’s not usually my first choice of colour. These are just so unapologetically PINK, though, that it’s hard not to love them, and the elegant shape is also stunning. That’s not to say that people won’r repeatedly compare you to Barbie when you wear them, of course, but I’d live with that if it meant getting to wear the shoes!
These are $945: click here to buy them from Neiman Marcus.

I know I’ve shown you a few variations on this particular style of shoe now, but I can’t help it: a shoe like this deserves to be seen!
This is the Metalipp 120mm, and it comes with a gold pin heel, matching toe cap, and a blue suede upper (which is the perfect contrast for the bright red sole!). The colour combination, plus the braiding on the toe cap gives this an almost “military” feel (assuming, of course, that the military wore stilettos. Which they don’t.)
As with almost all of Louboutin’s designs, however, it’s the shape that really makes the shoe. The colours, fabrics and design details are all fabulous, but that curvy shape would probably look good no matter what you covered it in, don’t you think?
These are $635 at Louise Via Roma: click here to buy them.
