Cesare Paciotti multicolour suede ankle boots

cesare pasciotti multicolour suede boots Cesare Paciotti multicolour suede ankle bootsAccording to Zappos Couture, the colours used in these boots are ‘glicine’ and ‘midnight’. Well, OK: I’m just going to call them “multicoloured” because a) I’m lazy and b) I see more than two different shades there. Whatever you want to call them, though, they make a nice change from all of the dull winter colours we’re seeing at the moment, but although there’s plenty of colour there, they work together so nicely that the effect isn’t the least bit garish.

Shoe boots are a particular favourite of mine at the moment, because they’re nice and warm, but work perfectly with both skirts and trousers (although you’ll want to keep that suede away from puddles, obviously). They’re $802 and you can click here to buy them from Zappos.

I showed you the ankle boot version of these shoes back in September, and opinions about them were split. I think they’re just as striking as court shoes, and if you like your heels high, well, these could be the shoes for you: the stiletto is 5″ high, although the high platform will make it feel lower, and perhaps make them easier to walk in. I say “perhaps” – there’s just something very fragile looking about a stiletto this high, and I have a feeling my clumsy self would somehow contrive to snap it in two, but if you have more luck with these things, you can buy these at Zappos, where they’re $424.

There are some wonderful things happening in the world of ankle boots at the moment, no? I know thigh highs are being touted as the “It” boot of this winter, but I reckon ankle boots are going to give them a run for their money, especially when they look this this!

These are by Cesare Paciotti, who’s clearly gone for the “if one platform is good, two must be better” school of design here. In this case, I’d find it hard to argue with him: I’m loving the look of that gold-trimmed platform, and the heel is the perfect finishing touch. The metallic trim give these a very “dressed up” look, and at £469, I’d probably be tempted to save them for special occasions, but they’d work well worn more casually too, with jeans, trousers or dresses.
