Kurt Geiger ‘Penelope’ nude bow cork soled wedges

kurt geiger penelope Kurt Geiger Penelope nude bow cork soled wedges

By now you all know how much I love wedges, although only when they’re slimline, not remotely chunky, and with an elegant, rather than a “clunky” shape. These ‘Penelope’ wedges by Kurt Geiger are just about perfect, and the fact that they have cork soles and nude uppers just serves to make them all the more versatile. There’s also a really nice mix of texture here, with the suede bow on top:

These are £120, and they’re also available in black.

Valentino ‘Mena’ platform pumps in fucshia

valentino bow peep toes Valentino Mena platform pumps in fucshia

I’m going to end this week the same way I started it: with a big dose of Valentino. Well, there are worse ways to bookend a week, no?

I’m not going to lie to you: these shoes are fairly typical of Valentino, and a lot like some of the other styles I’ve featured here over the last year. But when they look as good as this, who cares? Not me.

Buy them at Nordstrom.

Nautical bow seagrass flip-flops from Accesorize

nautical flip flops Nautical bow seagrass flip flops from AccesorizeThe trusty old leather flip flops that have seen me through the last three summers finally gave up the ghost during my last holiday, but luckily I think I may have found just the pair to replace them with. These seagrass thongs won’t be quite as hard-wearing as my old faithfuls, but I think their appearance makes up for it: the bow, the anchor and the navy and red colours are all just crying out to be worn with my navy and white shorts and dresses, and will be lightweight enough not to take up too much of my luggage allowance either. What’s more, they’re also very budget-friendly, at just £12. Get them here.

Miu Miu Spectator Peep-Toe Mary Janes

miu miu mary janes Miu Miu Spectator Peep Toe Mary Janes

Miu Miu Mary Janes

Miu Miu released a number of spectator0-style pumps a few seasons ago, and this year they’ve revisited the style with these peep toe Mary Janes, which come complete with bow. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ruffled spectators of a couple of years ago, but I adore these, and while I personally think it should be illegal to mention the word “Autumn” this early in the year, I’m going to do it anyway, because the colours of these would make them wonderful Autumn attire, ideally worn with something tweed and tailored.

These are currently available for pre-order at Saks, where they’re $650.

Friday Night Louboutin Fix: Christian Louboutin Bow T Dorcet pumps

christian louboutin bow sho Friday Night Louboutin Fix: Christian Louboutin Bow T Dorcet pumpsThese shoes tortured me last summer. The Neiman Marcus I always visit when I’m in the States had them in ivory, and even if they hadn’t been so obviously bridal, the price would still have placed them way out of my league (they were $895), but they were so beautiful that every time I was near the store I would go in and pick them up, just to stroke them. Why yes, I DO have a problem!

They’re now down to $361 at Barney’s, so it’s no wonder that they’re sold out in most sizes. (Sorry if I just got your hopes up, there.) These would be the perfect evening shoes, so if you do manage to get your hands on a pair, treat them well, and tell them Shoeperwoman says “hi”…

Miu Miu silver glitter bow detail flats

miu miu glitter flats1 Miu Miu silver glitter bow detail flatsNo one does glittery shoes quite like Miu Miu – and some of you may well feel that’s a good thing, given that these little Miu Miu flats look like they’ve been positively DRENCHED in glitter, as opposed to simply sprinkled with the stuff.

Add some sparkly crystals on the bow, and you have yourself a totally OTT pair of flats that are almost guaranteed to be noticed wherever you wear them. These are currently on sale at Bluefly, but even the sale price is expensive at $500. Worth it, do you think?

Office Be My Sailor nautical canvas slingbacks

office be my sailor shoes Office Be My Sailor nautical canvas slingbacks

Oh, NO.

I kinda wish I hadn’t seen these shoes now. To see them is to want them, you see (or, at least, it is when you love stripes. Did I mention that I love stripes? Oh, only a million times, I see.), and they’re £70, which is just a little much this close to pay day. They’re VERY nautical, too, and I’d imagine will probably end up being the 2010 version of Office’s ‘Love Me Tender’ peep toes, which also had canvas uppers and lots of stripes.

These ones are called ‘Be My Sailor’ and also come in a black and grey leopard print. I wish they’d be MY sailor…

Buy them here.

Miss N Silver Ankle Bow Sandals from Next

next silver bow sandals Miss N Silver Ankle Bow Sandals from Next

I had to do a double-take when I saw the price of these shoes. £26? I know Next isn’t the most expensive brand out there, but £26 seems particularly bargainous. As you’d probably expect for that price, these aren’t leather, but I love the cracked leather-effect uppers, which stop the silver colour being too shiny. Although I like bows, I tend not to like more than one of them on the same shoe, but I think I could probably be tempted by these little cuties, especially when they’re so affordable.

If you’re prepared to let them tempt you, too, you can buy them here.
