Continuing my quick glimpse into the future of footwear fashion, here’s a small selection from Bertie’s SS13 collection. For me, the surprising thing about this collection is the lack of heels: almost all of the shoes are flats or low wedges, so I’m going to cross my fingers and toes and hope there’ll be some higher heels too, when the rest of the collection is revealed.

I’ve been admiring these shoes for quite some time now – so long, in fact, that as always for me, they’re already sold out in my size. These have a bit of an 80s fashion vibe to them, between the bright blue colour and the shape, but they’re lots of fun, and would be an excellent way to dress up a pair of jeans.
The blue is now only available in a UK size 6, unfortunately, but they’re also available in black, and have now been reduced to £45 at ASOS.
Ah, the perfect colour for yours truly! I know I talk a lot about nude colored shoes, but beige is actually pretty close to my skin colour, and these are just gorgeous, with their curvy sides and that distinctive flower detail on the toe. The leaf that comes with it, of course, will be too much for some of you:
I like it, though, and can see this working with lots of different outfits: they’re dressy, but not so much that you won’t be able to stick them on with a pair of jeans, too. Best of all, they’re currently reduced to £55. Get them at Shoe Studio
