Badgley Mischka green satin ‘Opel’ court shoes

badgley mischka opel court shoes Badgley Mischka green satin Opel court shoes

These shoes are available in five different colours – green, taupe, black, white and navy – but I’m showing you them in green because… well, do I really need to explain why?

I actually hesitated to show you these at all, because they’re so simple there’s just not a whole lot to say about them. Sometimes the simple things in life can be the hardest things to find (anyone who’s ever spent hours searching for the perfect plain black sweater or pair of blue jeans will know exactly what I’m talking about here), though, and my eyes have snagged on these every time they’ve appeared on my screen, so here they are.

These are the kind of shoes you’d wear with the kind of statement dress you don’t want to be overpowered by your footwear, but they’re also pretty enough in an understated way to stand on their own merits, too.

They’re down to $163 at Zappos: click here to buy them.

    Badgley Mischka ‘Olaf’ lace booties

I’ve looked at these boots (sorry, “booties”) numerous times now, and I’ve always held off on writing about them here, because well, they’re peep toe boots, and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how I feel about that.

I think these ones could just succeed in winning me over, though:  I keep picturing them worn with some beat-up denim and a tailored jacket, for a nice contrast between dressy and casual, but they’d be equally effective with something a little more formal. I also think this is one of the few examples of a peep toe boot that would actually be wearable for me, because the lightweight uppers wouldn’t be too warm to wear, thus negating the “if it’s warm enough for a peep toe, it’s too warm for a boot” argument.

What do you think? Are you ready to accept peep toe boots into your life – or closet? If you are, these ones are $200 from Nordstrom: click here to buy them.

Badgley Mischka black Odessy peep toe pumps

badgley mischka odessy pumps Badgley Mischka black Odessy peep toe pumpsI started to develop a bit of an obsession with Badgley Mischka last year, and that obsession has only grown the more I see of the brand, which tends to concentrate on stunning evening shoes which come at a slightly more reasonable price than their designer brothers and sisters.

On paper, these Odessy peep toes wouldn’t sound like anything special, but you can’t go wrong with a black peep toe, and I think the gauzy bow on these ones helps to make them stand out, as well as giving them a delicate appearance we don’t tend to associate with black pumps. Simple but stunning, these are $204: click here to buy them from Zappos.

Badgley Mischka Xango Sandal Badgley Mischka Xango sandals in black and white

Forgive me for the slight wedding-obsession this week, readers: I’m not planning on renewing my vows or anything, I just keep coming across beautiful bridal shoes that I just have to show you!

Badgley Mischka is fast becoming one of my favourite evening/occasion wear brands - in fact, their blue ‘Hyde’ peep toes may well be one of my favourite shoes of this year so far. These ‘Xango’ sandals aren’t quite as stunning, and the white versions definitely fall into the “bridal” category, but the mesh bow detail on the front is so pretty and delicate that it makes up for the plainness of the rest of the shoe. And hey, you always need a pair of black evening shoes, don’t you?

    These are $165 at Nordstrom.

I’ve actually shown you these shoes before, in white, as part of a bridal shoe roundup. I make no apologies for showing you them again, though, because:

    a) They’re absolutely stunning

    and

    b) When I last featured them here, I was bemoaning the fact that they were only available in white, and looked very definitely “bridal”. Now, however, they’re available in this lovely shade of blue, they’re still stunning, and I want them even more than I did a few months ago. At $154, they’re not too expensive, either. Get them at Zappos.

Beautiful Bridal Shoes by Badgley Mischka

bridal shoes Beautiful Bridal Shoes by Badgley Mischka

Oh God, I HATE it when I find beautiful bridal shoes. Hate it. Why? Well, because I’m already married. And I think these beauties would be tough to pull off as “regular” attire, even for me – although they ARE available in black, too. So, instead, all I can do is admire them from afar, and hope one of my bride-to-be friends will buy them, so I can admire them in close-up.

The shoes above are Badgley Mischkla’s ‘Hyde’ heels, $149 at Heels.com. Read on for more Badgley beauties…
