Nude patent Ameronni court shoes by Aruna Seth

nude patent shoes Nude patent Ameronni court shoes by Aruna Seth

While the Swarovski crystal section at the front of these shoes is just a little bit reminiscent of the Lanvin shoes I showed you a couple of weeks ago, I think the execution of these Aruna Seth beauties is far better. The “folded” effect of the tongue gives these shoes the decadent feel of an old-fashioned court shoe, and that effect is only enhanced by the curved sides, and, of course, the dozens of crystals on the toe and heel:

Award shows are always a bit of a disappointment for the serious shoe lover, because all the beautiful shoes tend to be hidden under the floor-length gowns favoured for formal events. Sophia Bush, however, obviously loved her Aruna Seth wedges enough to want to show them off, and I don’t blame her: I’ve drooled over these shoes a couple of times now, and this is the perfect kind of occasion to wear them, don’t you think?

Aruna Seth black butterfly peep toe shoes

aruna seth butterfly shoes Aruna Seth black butterfly peep toe shoesAruna Seth shoes belong in that special category of beautiful things I will probably never own because I just don’t have the kind of lifestyle to do them justice. These beautiful butterfly-front peep toes, for instance, look like they belong on the red carpet, or at some kind of exclusive event at the very least - although I guess you could always wear them to clean the bathroom/do the ironing in too, if you really wanted to. I won’t tell if you don’t.

If you do have an event to wear them too, or feel like inventing one just for the hell of it, they’re £435, and you can find them here.

Aruna Seth ‘Cerise’ diamante wedges in nude and black

Some people absolutely loved them, while others thought there was just WAY too much bling n’ bow for one shoe. The controversy was mostly caused by this:

It’s one hell of a heel, isn’t it? And I can totally understand why it wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste: it’s just so over-the-top that it’d be suitable for only the dressiest of occasions. If you have such an occasion to attend, though, I think this would be a show-stopper of a shoe, and the nude version could make a nice bridal shoe, too.

The two colours shown here are £625 from Aruna Seth, however there’s also a black snakeskin version which is even more expensive at £725. View them all at the Aruna Seth website.
