Patent double bow ballerina flats from Accessorize

Yesterday I said I wanted to get some pretty new ballet flats, and today I think I might have found the perfect pair from my favourite store to walk into for a “quick browse”, and walk out of with a significantly lighter wallet: Accessorize.

I adore the little double-bows on the front of these shoes: they’re just too cute, and the nude colour is exactly what I’m looking for, too. Sadly, they’re already sold out in my size online, so I may need to visit the store in person to see if they have any left. If you want to try your luck online, meanwhile, these are £25 and you can click here to buy them.

Remember the heart-front peep toes from Accessorize which I showed you earlier this year? Well, here are the closed toe version, just in time for winter! I love these shoes: they’re practical, but they also have a whimsical feel to them, and while the navy and red colour mix would probably be my preference, I think the black and white versions could be fantastic with a similarly monochrome outfit: or with anything else, really!

These are just £22: click here to buy a pair.

Nautical bow seagrass flip-flops from Accesorize

nautical flip flops Nautical bow seagrass flip flops from AccesorizeThe trusty old leather flip flops that have seen me through the last three summers finally gave up the ghost during my last holiday, but luckily I think I may have found just the pair to replace them with. These seagrass thongs won’t be quite as hard-wearing as my old faithfuls, but I think their appearance makes up for it: the bow, the anchor and the navy and red colours are all just crying out to be worn with my navy and white shorts and dresses, and will be lightweight enough not to take up too much of my luggage allowance either. What’s more, they’re also very budget-friendly, at just £12. Get them here.

Red canvas ballerina pumps from Accessorize

red flats accessorize Red canvas ballerina pumps from AccessorizeWhen it comes to packing for summer holidays, I always try to do the whole “capsule wardrobe” thing. I always fail miserably at this, and end up having to wear all my clothes on the way home because I’ve packed so much – and bought so much – that I’m waaaay over my luggage, but at least the thought is there.

Because of my well-documented love of the nautical look, my chosen colours for this so-called “capsule” wardrobe of mine are always red, blue and white. (And, er, green. Also: black.) Which is why these Accessorize shoes went onto my summer wish list as soon as I laid eyes on them. Not only will they fit in perfectly with the rest of the wardrobe, they’re also as light as only a pair of canvas flats can be, AND they’re only £20.

Now I just need to find room for all of the 20 million other items I want to try and fit into my suitcase…

Oh, come on, you didn’t think I’d let a whole week go by without showing you at least one pair of heart-embellished shoes, did you?

Actually, that’s what I was planning to do, but then these little patent flats popped up at Accessorize, and I just couldn’t resit showing you them. They’re only £22, and just the thing for summer days, when you can slip them on with shorts, dresses, jeans: you name it. Super-cute, and super-affordable, you can grab yourself a pair here here.
