Well, this is certainly one of the strangest shoe embellishments I’ve seen! Neiman Marcus describe it as a pear, and I guess it is kinda pear shaped. Does it belong on the toe of a shoe, though, that’s the question? I think the problem with these – for me, at least – is that the shoe it’s attached to is just a little dated looking, somehow. I know I’ve been obsessed with pointed toes lately, but a very long point like this one always looks straight out of the 90s/early 00s, and these black pumps also look like the kind of thing you’d wear to an office job, which just doesn’t mesh with the “edgy” look of the “pear”.
(The other problem, of course, is that there’s just no way I’d be able to wear these without damaging something, Probably myself.)
What do you think of these: an interesting and unique take on the embellished toe, or just a little bit…odd?
