Sophia Webster’s shoes are nothing if not creative, and these shoes are no exception. I mean, I’ve seen a lot of polka dot shoes in my time – a LOT of polka dot shoes – but I don’t think I’ve ever seen ones quite like these. Oversize spots, a scalloped edge and a bright orange heel and platform all combine to make these even more attention-grabbing than most other shoes featuring this kind of print – and that’s saying something.
These have a 5.5″ heel, but although the exact measurements aren’t stated, that looks like a pretty large platform sole, which should make them feel slightly lower. I like the contrasting white platform against the black patent of the upper and the orange of the sole: orange generally isn’t my first choice of colour, but I think it works really well here, and is just enough of a colour pop to liven these up without totally overwhelming them.
Finally, the scalloped edges are a really nice touch: with a bold print like this one, I’d normally expect the shape of the shoe to be much more streamlined, but the way the raised edges match the dots below them makes this a really fun touch.
