Shoeper Style Challenge: What to wear with orange shoes?

what to wear with orange shoes1 Shoeper Style Challenge: What to wear with orange shoes?

First up, a quick note for those of you tuning in around about now for the Shoe Challenge roundup: as the challenge ends on Tuesday (a fact which I still can’t seem to get my head round!), I’ve decided to hold off the Week 52 roundup until then to allow you to get your last shoes in before the end: I figured that would make more sense than having two roundups very close together, so I hope that’s OK with everyone!

Some of you have asked for more Polyvore challenges, though, and because I never seem to tire of looking at other people’s outfits, I’m more than happy to oblige! I’ve been talking a lot recently about how orange is going to be one of the big colours of the summer season, so today I thought we’d use the Shoeper Style Challenge to answer the question which probably isn’t on everyone’s lips, but which will hopefully be fun to try anyway: What to wear with orange shoes?

The orange shoes in question are Aldo’s Capecoral pumps, and as the colour is bright, I’ve  chosen a very simple pump, to make it a bit easier on you. As with the other challenges we’ve done (Which you can take a look at here, if you’re new to this game), the rules are simple:

1. Create an outfit to wear with the shoes shown above. (I recommend Polyvore for this, and you’ll find the shoes here.)

2. Upload it to the comments of this post.

3. Done!

Shoeper Style Challenge: Style My Shoes!

Earlier this week I asked you to help choose my next pair of shoes from Sarenza, and here’s your chosen winner!

carvela gypsy slingbacks Shoeper Style Challenge: Style My Shoes!

Carvela’s yellow suede ‘Gypsy’ slingbacks are currently en route to Shoeper Towers, and I can’t wait for them to arrive! I already have quite a few outfit ideas for these – in fact, I’m starting to wonder how on earth I ever managed without them! – but I thought it might be fun to see how YOU’D all wear them, too: well, you were the ones who picked them, it’s only right that you get to style them, too!

For this Shoeper Style Challenge, then, as with last week’s challenge, I’m asking you to create an outfit to wear with these shoes, and post the image in the comments section of this post. (If you want to use Polyvore for this, you’ll find the shoes here.)

Shoeper Style Challenge: How would you style these shoes?

red patent peep toes2 Shoeper Style Challenge: How would you style these shoes?

Over at The Fashion Police, we sometimes play a game where I choose a “difficult” item of clothing, and ask people to show me how they’d style it, by creating an outfit on Polyvore and posting it on the site.

This week, I thought it might be fun to do the same thing here (and if you’re anything like me, you probably build a lot of your outfit around your shoes, anyway), but because it’s the first time I’ve tried something like this here, I figured I’d go super-easy on you and get you to create an outfit around the stunning red Alexandre Birman peep toes I showed you last week. easy, huh?

So, your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to:

1. Create an outfit to wear with these shoes, either using Polyvore (you’ll find the shoes here), or any other image editing programme you fancy.

2. Upload  it to the comments section so we can all see it! (If you create your image on Polyvore, you’ll need to screenshot the finished collage and then save it your computer to upload it).

3. If you want to post your outfit on your own block and link back to it from your comment, feel free – all I ask is that you link to Shoeperwoman.com from your post!

Here’s what I’d wear with these:

Shoes, dress, gloves, bag; fascinator; lipstick – MAC Ruby Woo

As you can see, I’ve taken a complete “fantasy dressing” approach to this, and created an outfit I’d be unlikely to get much of a chance to wear, but you can do whatever you like: something realistic, or something completely fantastical: up to you!
