For those of you thinking of joining my Shoeper Shoe Challenge, here’s a full list of the rules:
The Basics
- You must wear every pair of shoes/boots in your collection at least once between February 14th 2011 and February 14th 2012.
- You must take photos of yourself wearing each pair of shoes, as “evidence”.
- “Use it or lose it”: any pairs of shoes you don’t wear before the end of the challenge must be disposed of in a manner of your choosing: sell them, donate them, bin them – it’s up to you.
The Shoes
- Count your shoes and boots before you start. If you have any pairs you know you won’t wear within the next year, now is the time to get rid of them!
- If you wouldn’t wear a particular pair of shoes as part of an “outfit”, it doesn’t count towards your total: that means you can exclude things like workout shoes (unless you typically wear them as part of your day-to-day outfit), wellies, gardening/driving shoes, ski boots, riding boots – anything, in fact, that has a purely practical purpose. (Of course, if you particularly WANT to include those shoes in your total and make things harder on yourself, you’re welcome to do that too!)
- If you have shoes which you’re unlikely to wear, but which have sentimental value to you (wedding shoes, etc), you’re free to exclude them from the challenge – just don’t include them in your total.
- You can buy as many shoes as you like during the challenge – but you must wear any additional pairs before the end date!
- You can also get rid of shoes during the challenge if you wish – the purpose isn’t to force you to wear shoes you no longer like, or which don’t fit, so if you’d rather get rid of shoes as you go along, that’s fine.
The ‘Proof’
-
You must take photos of yourself wearing each pair of shoes in order to “save them”.

hi ! Will there be a new shoe challenge in 2012 ?
I second Elli’s motion.
I’m up for a 2012 challenge as well! I hope you’ll continue the challenge.
Hi everyone!
I’m hoping to do another challenge this year, although probably not in the same format as this one (similar, though). I’m still working out the details at the moment
