sarenza shoe sale Sale time at Sarenza!
I’ve sworn off shoe-shopping for the foreseeable - or until next week, at least – but for those of you who haven’t, I thought you might like to know that Sarenza is having a 7 Frozen Days sale, in which you can get up to 50% off a selection of shoes for – yes, you guessed it – the next seven days.

What are you still doing reading this, then? Click here to go shoe shopping!

Win free shoes every day this month!

win shoes Win free shoes every day this month!

Do you want to win a new pair of shoes every day this month? What am I saying: of COURSE you do! (Especially when you find Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle pumps are one of the pairs up for grabs…)

How do you get your hands on the lovely free shoes, though? Well, it’s really your FEET you want to get on them, to be honest, but that quibble aside, it’s Shoe Month at Handbag.com, so all you have to do is visit the site each day, click the “enter” button which appears next to that day’s shoes, and type your details into the form provided. If you don’t win the shoes, don’t worry, you can always go back the next day and try again for another pair.

You can click here to visit the site and take part in the competition. If you all wouldn’t mind staying away on Day 4, though, that would be great: those Loubs are MINE!

(OK, I’m joking: enter away, and good luck!)

Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh Sale

The Schuh sale also started this week. This has actually rather upset me because:

a) There are about a hundred pairs of shoes I’d like to buy from it (and I’m not exaggerating), but I’ve promised myself I won’t buy any more shoes now, at least until NEXT payday.

b) This happened:

schuh garda wedges Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh Sale

Schuh ‘Garda’ wedges, £39.99

And I paid full price for them. Don’t you just HATE it when that happens?

Here are some more shoes I’d buy if it wasn’t for that pesky ban:

schuh prince platforms Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh Sale

Green ‘Prince’ platforms, £39.99

Yes, I know they’re green. But they’re NOT SUEDE. I don’t have green shoes that aren’t suede. Enough said.

schuh thelma courts Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh SaleSchuh ‘Thelma’ courts, £39.99

Just adorable, especially with one of those 50s style skirts I’m currently obsessed with.

1118527270 main Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh SaleSchuh ‘Cleo’ heels, £34.99

These aren’t something I’d generally go for – they’re a little too clumpy at the front – but they’re available in two different fabrics, and something about the quirky prints and chunky shape reminds me of Miu Miu’s collection from last season.

schuh pretty tie court shoes Shoeperwoman Shops the Schuh SaleSchuh ‘Pretty Tie’ court shoes, £39.99

Minnie Mouse shoes. But in a good way.

And now I’m going to go and take all my credit cards and throw them into a fire, so I can resist the temptation of these, and all of the other beautiful shoes in this sale. I’ll be weeping on my bed, if anyone needs me…

Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island Sale

Today marks the start of the River Island sale, which is good news for me, but very bad news for my bank account, because as some of you know, River Island has been one of my favourite high street stores this season, and not just because of the shoes (which have been a Shoeperwoman favourite for years): this season they’ve also stocked a fabulous range of 50s inspired dresses and skirts, which have proved almost impossible (and sometimes literally impossible) to resist!

Here are some of my favourite picks from the current sale:

river island light green bow sandals Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island Salelight green bow sandals, £15

At the time of writing, these were sold out in everything but a UK size 5 (sizes do tend to sell out quickly in the online version of the sale, so you have to get in fast!), but if you have a store near you, you may still be able to find them. The white version, however, which has contrasting black bows, was still available in all sizes.

gold platform sandals Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island SaleGold platform sandals, £30

If ever there was a shoe that said “70s disco”, these sandals would be it. Do you want your shoes to say “70s disco”, though? I’ll leave that one up to you.

floral print wedges Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island SaleFloral print wedges, £25

Again, these are selling out fast online, but the stores do tend to have more stock, so if you want them, and you live in the UK, don’t despair – you may just need to visit the store in person. And if you do, you’ll get yourself the perfect summer sandal, for just £25.

polka dot sandals Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island SalePolka dot sandals, £10

Well, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t show you something with polka dots on it, would I?

Unfortunately, the shoes I had my eyes on didn’t go into the sale, so I managed to leave the site without buying any new footwear. I wasn’t quite so strong-willed in the clothing department, however. Here are a few of the items that sorely tested my resolve:

50s style prom dress Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island Sale50s-style apple print dress, £15

This is actually the same dress I wore in this shoe challenge, only in a different print. I also have this dress in a beige/floral print, and absolutely love the shape of it, so I’m pleased to see River Island releasing it in other prints, even although it does make me want to collect them all.

orange bow prom dress Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island SaleOrange prom dress, £20

I’ve loved this dress for a while too, but was forced to conclude that the colour wouldn’t really work with my hair – it also looks a little shorter than I like, but would be super-cute on someone else!

yellow tie front top Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island SaleYellow tie-front top, £10

This was sold out in my size, otherwise it would be on its way to me now. I’m addicted to this colour at the moment, and this would look perfect with capri pants or jeans.

50s style skirts Shoeperwoman Shops the River Island Sale50s style skirts, £15

More 50-style fashion. This is my favourite skirt length, so I’m stocking up now, while they’re easy to find – next year I know we’ll be back to all-minis, all the time! (Not that I have anything against minis, you understand – I just like having the option of something a little longer, too!)

As I said, I didn’t quite manage to leave the sale empty-handed, and no doubt you’ll be seeing at least one of these items in a shoe challenge soon! What about you: have you been buying anything from the current round of summer sales?

The Outnet shoe sale starts today, probably won’t last long…

The Outnet shoe sale starts today, probably wont last long...

I’m sorry to lead you all into temptation here, but it would be remiss of me as a Shoeperhero not to mention the fact that The Outnet is currently discounting its already-discounted shoe prices, in a sale which started today and will run until…well, until there’s nothing left, I guess. Which generally doesn’t take long with The Outnet.

Sadly (or perhaps fortunately, I should say) the Valentino beauties in the top left of the image above are already gone, but you can filter down by size to instantly see what’s available for you. I rather like the Giuseppe Zanotti colourblock peep toes you can see in the bottom right, but having already shopped the Kurt Geiger sale this morning (yes, AGAIN. What?!), I’m trying to be good. For now.

I’m going to take a wild guess that you’ve probably all already seen this, savvy shoe shopper that you are, but just in case you haven’t, I would be a bad Shoeperwoman indeed not to tell you about The Outnet’s 2nd birthday sale.

As you may remember, The Outnet celebrated their first birthday last year with a massive sale in which everything was reduced to just £1. Yes, £1. No, that’s not a typo. Obviously the sale itself was a massive, online scrum: or so I hear, anyway – I stupidly decided to go out the night before, got back super-late (And, OK, a little the worse for wear), and so was still asleep when the emails announcing the start of the sale went out. I got online not long after that, but of course, by then it was all tumbleweed. This is how Outnet sales tend to go down. (It’s also how I came to own a pair of Louboutin Mad Mary’s that are a size too big for me. Ahem.)

Anyway! This year, in a bid to make things a little easier, The Outnet is restricting access to the sale to 2,000 people only. In order to have a chance of being one of the lucky ones, you have to first of all register with the site, if you haven’t already, and then go here to enter the draw. I actually wasn’t going to bother, because I generally have no luck with prize draws of this type (in fact, the only thing I ever won from a prize draw was… bacon and eggs. I swear I’m not making this up.), but of course I relented. Even if the chances of getting a ticket are slim, it’s well worth the few seconds it takes to enter, because to celebrate their second birthday, The Outnet is selling its sale stock for just £2 per item. (Do you see what they did there? This means that even if The Outnet is still celebrating its birthdays in this way in 100 years times, the price will STILL be much less than retail. I love The Outnet, I really do.)

Feeling lucky, punks?* Click here to enter.

*I have no idea why I called you all “punks”. Sorry.

Shoe Sale: Up to 30% off on Miss KG and Nine West at Kurt Geiger

kurt geiger shoe sale Shoe Sale: Up to 30% off on Miss KG and Nine West at Kurt Geiger

It’s the week before pay-day for me (And oh, what a long week it is!), so naturally one of my favourite shoe brands has chosen now to offer up to 30% off on selected shoes: gah!

The discounted shoes are from the Miss KG and Nine West selections at Kurt Geiger, and I’m slightly mollified to learn that the shoes I’ve been coveting aren’t part of the sale, so I don’t have to try to talk myself out of buying them. Not this week, anyway.

There are still plenty of others to choose from, though (I rather like the silver “Bella” heels shown in the image above, so click here and get browsing. And maybe shopping, if you’re very lucky.

Outnet Watching: Bargain shoes by Tabbitha Simmons and Jimmy Choo

Outnet Watching: it’s one of my favourite sports, and I do mean “sports” because you really have to have a quick trigger finger to be able to grab one of the items that appear at The Outnet: if you’re too slow on the ol’ mouse, you’re just going to miss out. I’m surprised gyms haven’t started to capitalize on that by offering Advanced Clicking Classes or something. (Note to self: patent that idea.)

Here are some of my top picks from the latest Outnet shoe delivery, and please bear in mind that I’m using the word “bargain” in the loosest possible sense, here…

Remember these babies? They’re Tabitha Simmons polka dot slingbacks, and I first showed you them back when they were £570. Now they’re £199. See? “Bargain.”
