They’re here! And, oh my goodness, they’re just so pretty I think they may be my new favourite shoes. I also think it’ll be really, really hard for me to resist the black version too now: sadly for me (although happily for my bank balance), they’re already in low stock in my size, and I have a feeling they’ll sell out well before payday, so perhaps that’s for the best!

I wrote about these shoes just a few days ago, so I don’t have a whole lot more to add, and think the photos pretty much speak for themselves anyway. Suffice it to say that these are everything I hoped they’d be: I really love the sharp pointed toe, the shape of the bow, and, of course, the gingham print upper. Although gingham check is such a classic summer print (particularly this year, when there’s more of it around than ever), it’s still fairly unusual on shoes, especially closed-toe pumps, like these. I do have a couple of pairs of red gingham sandals/peep toes (Er, can you tell I have a bit of a thing for gingham?), but I love the fact that these have closed toes and heels, so I’ll be able to wear them now, without waiting for the weather to warm up.

In terms of sizing, I would say these are reasonably true to size. If I had one wish, it would be for them to have a slightly snugger fit: they’re not large enough to make me want to size down, but they’re just a tiny bit looser than some other size 4s I have. They’re definitely comfortable enough to walk in, though, and the 4″ heels are just the right height for a non-platform shoe, I think: they’re high, but not high enough to make your ankles hurt!

Now, about that black version
