September’s Sarenza Brand Ambassador selection was a much easier decision than usual: I noticed these Buffalo ‘Bifa’ pumps were about to sell out in my size, and I obviously couldn’t let that happen before I claimed a pair, so I jumped in and grabbed them before they were gone. Today, however, I notice they’re back in stock in all sizes, so it would seem my worry was for nothing. Oh well, at least I don’t have to commit the shoe blogging sin of showing you shoes that aren’t actually available!
The top photo basically tells you everything you need to know about these shoes and why I loved them. The bright blue upper. The multi-layered bow. The pointed toe. These were always destined to be mine, and honestly, if they were available in other colours, I’d probably want ALL of them.
These are everything I’ve come to expect from Buffalo in terms of sizing and quality. The upper is real suede, which makes it soft and supple, and the insole is also padded, for extra comfort. The fit on these, meanwhile, is true to size: I went for my usual UK 4, and find them as comfortable as you’d expect from a shoe with a 4″ heel, which is to say I wouldn’t want to walk miles in them, but I don’t anticipate any issues with them either. Let’s hope those aren’t famous last words.
I was pleasantly surprised when these came out of the box: I think they look more expensive in real life than they do in the product shots, and that, combined with the real leather uppers, makes them pretty well-priced at £84. As far as actually WEARING them goes, I absolutely LOVE the colour, but have to admit that I do find very bright shoes a little tricky to style sometimes, which means I generally play it safe, wearing them with neutral colours or basic jeans: anything that allows the shoes to be the centre of attention, in other words!
