Runway Shoes: Chanel Fall/Winter 2010 – 2011
Looks like Karl Lagerfeld is anticipating a new ice-age: Chanel’s shoe collection for Fall/Winter 2010 is heavy on fur boots (it’s fake, for those who were wondering) and other winter warmers.
I’ll pass on the boots, but I do rather like the black pumps worn with what I’m assuming are detachable spats (if they’re actually attached to the shoe, then cancel that result…): a great way to make an ordinary pair of court shoes a little more weather proof. You’ll find some more images from the show in the gallery below: don’t forget to tell me what you think!

It’s hard to concentrate on the shoes here, because I’m finding myself distracted by what’s on the models legs. I mean, what IS that? Are they tights, or is it some sort of makeup? I’m not sure, but in the case of the picture on the far right, it looks a lot like the model went out in the sun in shoes that wind up the legs, and ended up with some interesting tan lines. Hmm.
