Red or Dead red patent ‘Mila’ platform buckle shoes

I’ve been deliberately avoiding the Schuh website for the past couple of weeks, because the sale has been on, and there’s only so much temptation I can handle. I decided to allow myself a quick look this morning, though, and became rather smitten with these ‘Mila’ platforms by Red or Dead, which have that wonderful combination of patent and suede on the uppers, plus a big floppy bow.

In an ideal world, these would come minus the ankle strap, and minus the little round logo on the side of the heel (I’ve never been a fan of logos, even small ones), but the shape is beautiful, as is the colour, so I’m sure I could overlook both of those tiny quibbles.

These also come in bright blue suede:

And black:

They’re £75 at Schuh, and you can click here to buy them.

  • I commented with two friends yesterday that if only the platform went up to the “end of the shoe”, we would have liked them better (2 of us, one thought it was fine that way)… but they are really beautiful, no doubt..

  • I actually prefer the blue version, because it’s all suede and no patent. I adore the shape, but I think the patent cheapens the look (especially the red) a bit. But maybe that’s just me. 🙂

  • I really like the red ones! I saw them on Denise’s blog too the other day, and as she said above, I would prefer it if the platform was a little bit longer…

  • I was looking at these just last week and have my eye on the black pair – they look gorgeous! Although I’m trying to expand my shoe collection (looking at this site is not helping XD) and have to say that the red pair is also tempting…
