A couple of years ago, I went through a bit of a Menbur phase, and ended up with a few pairs of shoes from the brand – which I’d actually never even heard of until then.
The shoes in question are really well made – much higher quality than I was expecting, to be honest, given the relatively affordable price – and they’re still some of my favourites in my collection. Unfortunately for me, though, because this is a brand that focuses on what I think of as “party shoes”, they don’t get worn nearly as often as they deserve: story of my life! (Or of my shoes, anyway.)
Still, they are nice to look at, there’s no denying that: and while these days I’m trying my best to save my money for the shoes and clothes I’ll actually wear, rather than the ones I’ll simply admire, there’s no harm in looking at some more of them, is there? All of the shoes in the image above are by Menbur, and are available at Spartoo UK. I was initially most drawn to the pair in the centre of the image, with the amazing glittery heels (well, you can’t go wrong with a bit of glitter on your party shoes, can you?), but I also really like the pink pair on the bottom right: they have a nice amount of shimmer to the upper, and the colour is so neutral, I think they’d work effortlessly with any amount of outfits.
Another thing I like amount Menbur is that they the shoes tend to have a little bit of a vintage feel to them: these aren’t so retro that you’d have difficulty styling them, of course, but they do have a touch of old-fashioned glamour about them, and that’s always a good thing, as far as I’m concerned!
