I could’ve shown you a few different pairs of shoes from Patricia Blanchet’s current collection at Sarenza (And, let’s face it, I’ll probably show you them ALL, sooner or later), but I’m starting off with this pair, for reasons which I’m sure are pretty obvious to anyone who’s been reading here on a semi-regular basis!
As with much of this collection, these shoes have a vintage feel about them: that low stiletto, combined with the slingback strap and art-deco inspired fan detail on the toe, all add to that look, as does the combination of gold leather and red suede. They’re the kind of shoes that are just begging to be worn with a 50s-style prom dress, and I’d be more than happy to grant them that wish. I think I’m just the Shoeperhero for the job, in fact.
Unfortunately, however, I probably won’t get to see that happen, because these strike me as much more of a summer shoe than an autumn/winter one, and while I’m always willing to buy shoes off season (Some of the best bargains can be found that way), I’m much less likely to do it at the very start of the season, knowing that I’d have to wait a whole six months or more before I’d actually get to wear them. Still, these could also make a nice evening shoe, and red is a nice, festive colour, so I’m sure there are ways to make them work if you really love them. If you DO love them, however, I definitely wouldn’t recommend waiting a few months in this case: these are already in low stock, so time is definitely of the essence!
