Missguided Buckle Biker Sandals

Missguided Buckle Biker Sandals, £30

Missguided is one of those brands I don’t pay nearly enough attention to. To be perfectly honest, I tend to think of them as a little too “trendy” for my boring old self : they tend to sell lots of very strappy sandals (Which I like, but would hardly ever get the opportunity to wear), gladiator boots (which I’m less keen on), and just a ton of stuff that could conceivably have the word “edgy” used to describe it – and “edgy” I most definitely am not.

I might think of the site like that, however, but I really shouldn’t, because when I do visit it, I almost always find something I like, and can imagine myself wearing. The sandals above, for instance, are just £30, and have a simple, three-strap design which will look good with a lot of different outfits. Then there’s these pink pom-pom sandals:

Now, these ones I WOULD find pretty hard to work into my wardrobe, because I just don’t have the kind of lifestyle that makes pom-pom sandals the ideal piece of footwear, more’s the pity. I have to admit, though, I do kinda love them, and if I had a big night out planned, I can imagine these being the perfect foil to a plain black dress. Maybe something like this one, in fact:

This dress is actually a really good example of why it’s a good idea not to rule anything out when it comes to shopping – because even the brands you think aren’t aimed at your particular demographic will occasionally come up with something awesome. As I said, I tend to think of Missguided as very trend-led, but this is a classic little black dress is ever I seen one – and it’s just £25 in the sake, too!
