Minna Parikka green ‘Dahlia’ sandals

Minna Parikka can always be relied upon to bring a touch of whimsy to any footwear collection: whatever you think of their shoes, they’re definitely never boring!

What DO you think of these shoes, though? They’re called ‘Dahlia’, and they have pale green uppers (also available in black and white) decorated with purple flowers, and some little leafs on the strap. I’m not quite sure what to make of these: I do like the shade, but the “mottled” effect on the leather makes it look a little too organic for my liking, somehow!

If you like them, however, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that they’re on sale. The bad news is that they’ll still cost you £240: click here to buy them.

  • I was obsessed with the white version of these for a while as a potential pair to wear to my brother’s wedding next year. I *love* the black and white versions (not so much the green ones), but ultimately I found other people’s opinions to be so divided that they failed to tick the ‘unanimously agreed most awesome shoes to wear to a wedding’ box, so went for something a little more conventional instead. • I loved these shoes when I first saw them and even considered buying them… so, very good I didn’t , because the definition “blackheads” is good in this case… and I just saw them now (at first, the site that was offering them didn’t show a big picture…)

  • At first glance I thought these were going to be total shoe lust for me. And then I looked closer. That whole ‘contagious skin disorder’ thing they’ve got going on makes me feel all itchy! But if it weren’t for that I’d be wanting them!
