Menbur is a brand I’ve admired for a while now: I own a pair of their peep toes, and really love them, so I’m always keen to see the brand’s other styles when I come across them. For some reason, however, it had never actually occurred to me to go directly to the Menbur website to do this: I’d always just relied on finding their shoes on sites like Spartoo or Sarenza, and so when I finally DID look at the brand’s own website last week, it was a total revelation to me. In fact, I kinda wish I hadn’t done it, because I now have a a Menbur wish list as long as my arm!
Top of that list are these ‘Colbert’ pumps, which are just TO. DIE. FOR. I love everything about these, from the pointed toes, to the available colour choices (these come in black, as well as the real and gold versions shown here) and the fabulous little diamanté bow. If you think the satin uppers are too dressy, however, how about this ‘Idaho’ version, which is identical in shape and style, but which comes in suede rather than satin:
Of course, the bow still gives these a very dressed-up feel, but I’m pretty sure you could get away with these as daywear, and I, for one, would be more than happy to give it a go!
The suede version comes in taupe, black and green, and is a little more expensive, at £148: you can find it here.
