Leopard print platform shoes from Miss Selfridge

I already have three different pairs of leopard print shoes, so the last thing I need is another pair. That’s never stopped me before, however, and I couldn’t help but be drawn to these Miss Selfridge platforms, not least because the basic shape of the shoe is so similar to the various bow-fronted platforms Miss S released last year (without the bow, of course), and which I was such a big fan of. I absolutely love the shape of these, and am really hoping that the use of this chunky-heeled platform again is an indication that we can expect more shoes in this style from the brand this year. (Maybe even a re-issue of the red ones I’ve been searching for since last summer? Pretty please?)

These would also be a good choice for those of you who’d like to add a bit of animal print to your shoe collection, but who are wary about what I think of as the “Bett Lynch” factor. The chunky, modern shape helps offset some of the traditional associations of leopard print stilettos, say, and will also look a little more up-to-date.

  • When I saw these in Miss Selfridge last week, I actually thought to myself, I wonder how long it will take for these to make an appearance on Shoeperwoman! Not a style I would normally go for but they have something about them I really like xx

  • I quite like these ones! They remind me of a pair I loved and which was stolen from my suitcase by Air France during a strike… the workers wanted to have passengers’ complaints to force the employer to raise their salaries… and I got to be without my shoes… 🙁 (Many other passengers had the same problem.) Really, no fake story… I may give them a try, these ones are really cute!
