It’s been a promising start to the season so far for Miu Miu, who’ve had me drooling all over my keyboard on a couple of occasions this month already. Can they keep up the good work, though? Well, these metal flower embellished pumps are one of the most instantly recognisable styles from their latest collection, which contains a couple of variations on this metal-toed pump.
Now, I know what I think of these shoes, but … I’m not going to tell you. Instead, I’m going to ask what YOU think of them. Are they shoe heroes, shoe supervillains, or something in between? Tell me!
(Oh, and if you just want to buy them, meanwhile, they’re £570 at Net-a-Porter)
Ok… back from my amazing sweet trip… I can say about these shoes the following: creative, mmmhh, OK, but I wouldn’t wear them…
VILLAINS!!!
Too much! I love the flowers but I’d like to see them on a round-toed shoe rather than these monstrosities. What’s with the flowers, and “tongue” and bow and metal toe? Over-kill.
villains! they look like cow for me with floral headdresses.
Villians!
Urgh!
Gah, these are hideous; in fact, it been a while since I’ve seen anything that ugly – they should be locked away in FP jail ASAP!
I’d say villains! There’s just something wrong with the tip of the shoes… maybe without the flowers and with a round toe they’d be less ugly.
I think Villians too.
For me, there’s too much going on between the flowers, bow and metal-tip toe. I think with any 2 out of those 3, they could be heroes, but with all 3, it’s overkill.
I agree with Karen. I love the flowers and with the bow it is OK, but not the metal tips!
Definitely villains. Just because you put youthful embellishments on a matronly shoe doesn’t make it less matronly. It just makes it look silly.
I’d go with villains too. If the flowers weren’t there they might become less villainous, but there’s just far too much going on. Looks a very childish design to me.
i agree with the others. I hate the metal toe, and if it only had either a bow or a flower, and a rounded/ pointed toe, it’d work. So in essence, it’d have to be a different shoe in entirety to be nice.
Villains! there is far too much going on & not in a good way, i’m all for some pretty embellishments on shoes as i’m not usually a less is more girl 🙂 but these just look terrible plus the shape/style of the shoe is really old fashioned. Sorry miu miu, but not your best work
Definitely villians.
Baddies for sure. Awful!
Villains. There is nothing I can say that is good about these shoes.
Ladies, I agree… these remind me of the movie “The Witches.” Do you remember!?!?!
Yes! Oh God, those witches terrified me as a child. And these days, any shoes with very square toes always reminds me of them – eek!
I don’t think this shoe is THAT evil…To me, this shoe is the mysterious character that appears sporadically through the story, and you never really know if they’re good or bad. But then towards the end of the story they sacrifice their life for the good cause. I should write a shoe novel….
And i’d actually like these if they didn’t have the flowery panel thing.
Lol! You really should – I was loving that story!
Villain.
Everything other than the steel toe caps should be removed. Prada are rapidly heading into mad granny territory (rather than wicked with land) with these.
By ‘with’ I think I meant ‘witch’. Oops.
The shape of these makes me think of the costumes i had to wear for pilgrim-themed plays in elementary school….so nope, i don’t like them. SUPERVILLAINS
WANT! These are so amazing!
