Giuseppe Zanotti 130mm studded suede boot sandals, £900

A few days ago, I declared a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti peep toes to be Shoe Kryptonite. I’m actually thinking I should just go ahead and apply that verdict to the entire new collection: there are some absolutely amazing examples of footwear there, and these studded shoe boots are just one of the shoes I’ve been coveting.

These have the same basic shape as the peep toes I showed you earlier this week: they have the same inset stiletto heel, and the same curvy shape. Instead of a standard court shoe upper, however, these take the form of what Louisa Via Roma describes as “studded boot sandals”. Now, ordinarily this wouldn’t be my style AT ALL. I love studs, but can be relied upon to hate pretty much anything that can have the term “boot sandal” applied to it. There are exceptions to every rule, however, and these are one of them, because I absolutely love them. They’re super-sexy, eddy (another of my least-favouirte words) without being awkward, and the neutral upper and goes-with-everything gold should make them easier to wear than you might think.

Anyone feel like lending me £900?

Buy them
