I like the shape of these Gianvito Rossi peep toes so much I’m showing you them twice. Last time you saw them, they were in mint and blue suede, and I was declaring them to be Shoe Kryptonite. This time around, well, they’re not quite Kryptonite, but the different upper had me momentarily convinced they were a completely different style, and that’s all the justification I need to feature this gorgeously curvy shape once again.
As well as exchanging pastel suede for bright red leather, these shoes also have another difference, in the form of the contrasting white ankle strap. This is actually quite an unusual one: because the heel of the shoe is so high, the strap wraps around both your ankle and the back of the shoe itself, as opposed to simply wrapping around the wearer’s ankle, as most straps do. I’d be interested to know what these look like on, and whether they’re any more comfortable than a regular ankle strap (I can’t be the only one who finds them one of the least comfortable shoe features out there, can I?), but for now I do like the way they look, at least. What do you think?
