We all know by now that Christian Louboutin loves to use PVC on shoes, and we also know that he manages to do it in a way that makes that clear plastic upper seem far more desirable than it would in the hands of many other designers.
Is it still desirable on these ‘Tip’ peep toes, I wonder? Rather than simply using it to create that “barely there” effect, Louboutin has tied the transparent plastic into a great big bow, which I suspect some of you might feel cheapens the shoe slightly. I can see where you’re coming from (if, indeed, you think that), but … well, just look at it! It’s almost too cute for words, and I’d be willing to be that these shoes will look spectacular on the foot (I’d also be willing to volunteer to put that theory to the test, if anyone’s offering…).
The bright red of the bow is contrasted here with the blue of the heel, which has that fabulous ‘apostrophe’ design, making it look longer and slimmer than it really is. It all adds up to an amazing shoe – what do you think of it?
