I wrote about Dorothy Perkins’ DP Occasion collection last week, and now here’s another lovely pair of shoes from the same line.
When it comes to special occasion shoes, you can go one of two ways: you can either grab the excuse to wear the most extravagant, party-appropriate pair you own (Well, when else are you going to get the chance to wear shoes coated in glitter or sequins, after all?), or you can choose a more understated option, to let the rest of your outfit do the talking.
The option you choose will, of course, depend on what you’re planning to wear WITH the shoes (I hear there are some people out there who choose their shoes to go with their outfits, rather than the other way around: strange!) (That was a joke, by the way…), but if you’re going with the second choice, I think these could be a lovely accessory to a beautiful dress. They won’t steal any attention away from it, but they’re still very pretty in their own right, and I really like the little double-bow detail on the toe.
But what about that dress I keep mentioning? What WOULD you wear with mink coloured shoes? Well, I think these would work with most jewel tones, or even black/navy, but personally I’d go for something like this:
Lace pencil dress, Warehouse
What would you wear with these?
