Christian Louboutin ‘Pivichic 100’, $795

I showed you a slightly blurry close-up of these shoes, as worn by Chloe Moretz, a few months ago, but they haven’t yet featured as a Friday Fix, which is all the excuse I need to show you them today.

These are one of my favourite Louboutin shoes of the year, and are the shoes responsible for making me reconsider my views on the use of PVC on shoes. I’m actually really glad I saw these being worn before I saw the product shot, because they’re one of those shoes which look so much better on the foot. I absolutely love the patent stripes on the vamp, and the shape created by the transparent sections when these are worn, and think they’re one of the most interesting twists on the classic court that we’ve seen in a while.

These have 100mm stiletto heels, and while I’d normally always go for the 120mm version with Louboutins, I think the height is perfect with this shoe. The bad news is that these are almost sold out at Net-a-Porter, however you may get lucky and be able to find them via department stores or Louboutin boutiques, and they’re also available in pink at the Louboutin website.

  • If I saw those on the shelf I probably would have scoffed (weird stripes? plastic upper?) but having seen them on a couple of celebs, I absolutely loved them! Such an original look.

  • I’m not a huge fan of see-through shoes, but I really like these. I think the look really classy (did not think I’d be saying that about PVC shoes!)
