If there’s one thing I love seeing on shoes even more than I love hearts, that thing would be butterflies. Or bows, maybe. OK, it’s a toss-up between the two, but it’s butterflies we’re presented with today, so butterflies it is!
These shoes are Christian Louboutin’s ‘Maripopump’, and oh my goodness, but they’re absolutely beautiful, aren’t they? The basic shoe looks like the So Kate to me (Although I’m happy to be corrected on that!), and while I love the style on its own, and don’t necessarily think it needs any added embellishment, I also can’t deny that the little nude and gold butterfly on the toe makes them even more special – with the contrast between the textured and plain leather being the perfect finishing touch.
I know a lot of people really dislike nude shoes, and it seems almost fashionable to criticise them these days, but I still love them, and honestly don’t know how I’d cope without mine. It seems almost too obvious to say it now, but they really do go with absolutely everything, and I find that my nude Pigalles never fail to make an outfit look better, regardless of what it is. For that reason, I know these shoes would get a lot of use, if I were lucky enough to own them, and while the gold detailing does help dress them up slightly, it’s not so OTT that you’d have to reserve them solely for evening wear or special occasions.
What do you think of these?
