As I write this, I’ve literally just taken delivery of my new winter coat (Which is this one from Oasis, just in case you were wondering: note to self – stop actually buying the items on your wishlists. Otherwise they’re not actually WISHlists, are they?), so it stands to reason that I’d almost immediately comes across another coat that I absolutely LOVE.
Now, don’t get me wrong: I have no regrets over my purchase – I love my new coat, and know I’m going to get tons of wear out of it. But just look at this one! It’s amazing, in a ‘Sherlock Holmes would wear this, but let’s not think about that right now,’ kind of way. I mean, don’t you think? Warehouse describe it as a “trench coat”, but while the shape is definitely that, the fabric is a mohair-acrylic mix, rather than the cotton we usually find on trenchcoats, so although I haven’t inspected it in person, it should hopefully be warm enough to get you through the winter. It’s also totally different from anything else I’ve seen on the high street so far this season, and I reckon it it’s the kind of coat that would turn heads. Unfortunately, at £249, ShoeperMan’s head would be one of the ones that would be turning if I were to buy this, and I don’t mean that he’d be admiring it, so it looks like I’m just going to have to admire this one from afar.
Just because I can’t actually wear it, however, it doesn’t mean I can’t work out how I WOULD wear it if I could, so here’s a little outfit inspiration, for those of you lucky enough to buy this:
Oh, and as you can see, I was totally unable to resist adding the hat: you, however, might want to, unless you want to actually look like Sherlock Holmes!
