Aha! I’m afraid I’d never heard of Dominika Wolski until today, but I HAD heard of her shoes: they’re the Emma Cook for Topshop ruffle platforms I showed you back in June, and I was really pleased to stumble upon this photo, because I’d been wondering what they’d look like on an actual foot, and now I know.
These clearly aren’t for everyone, and I have a feeling they’d be pretty difficult to style, but I think they’re rather wonderful to look at. To wear? Probably not, and I don’t think I’d buy them, but if you want to, I suspect eBay is probably your best bet, unless you can track them down in a Topshop store.

It’s … a nightie! Or it looks a bit like one, anyway. It’s not what I’d have chosen – for any occasion, really – because I think the extravagance of the shoes calls for a more understated outfit, but what do you think?
They remind me of oyster mushrooms.

i just don’t think they are flattering or anything like sexy…not my cup of shoe but interesting to know what they look like on for sure! way different than i thought!

Someone brave enough to wear them. No wonder she’s smiling, she’s embarrassed.
That dress doesn’t do a thing for those shoes. When you wear shoes like that it probably isn’t a good idea to be matchy matchy. I was really expecting to see her wearing a little black dress not whatever is is she has on.
The shoes look like a nice decoration, not a pair of shoes. I really don’t like the whole look she’s got going on…especially the shoes. She also needed a pedicure and to put on more clothes.
I had the white and black version of these, but they were so tiny I couldn’t even get my foot into them (and by the time I sent them back, they sold out in the bigger size!). They were really massive though in terms of the outside of the shoe with all the frills, definitely difficult to style-but real show-stoppers.
Hmmm… I liked them the first time I saw them. Now I’m not sure they look that good when worn…
