As I’m sure my regular readers can testify, I rarely meet a Louboutin I don’t like, but while everyone else was cooing over Leighton Meester’s shoes at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this week, I was just a little put off by the size of those pom-poms, although, with that said, the more I look at them, the more I start to be won over by the sheer extravagance of them. What do you think of these shoes? Leighton wore them with a white mini-dress by Emilio Pucci: take a look under the jump to see her outfit: (more…) Most wanted from our sponsorsShoeperwoman to the Rescue: Jennifer Aniston’s Azzedine Alaia strappy sandalsFrom Formspring: i really really really need to know what shoes jennifer aniston is wearing here!!! could you fin dout for me? You can’t see them too well in this photo, but I think these are a pair of patent Azzedine Alaia sandals, which Jennifer wears fairly often – I’ve attached some photos of her wearing them at another event under the jump. Unfortunately, although I can tell you who made them, I’m afraid I can’t come to the rescue with a stockist, because these are a couple of seasons old now. If you’re looking for these exact shoes, I think your best bet would be eBay, but an alternative could be something like Lauren Jones’ ‘Franci’ sandals, which have a similar shape and colour, and are available at Endless.com:

Celebrity Shoes: Pixie Lott in Miu Miu cat print platform shoesI wasn’t keen on the non-platform version of Miu Miu’s cat-print shoes, but these ones? These ones I love: Celebrity Shoe Spotting: Cheryl Cole in Christian Louboutin’s Bikiki 140 Pony PumpsI love Cheryl Cole, and I also love Christian Louboutin (I may have mentioned this once or twice or a million times), so any combination of the two is generally a match made in heaven for me. These shoes, however, are a pretty bold choice, especially when paired with a bright orange mini dress, so I’m wondering what everyone thinks of the look? Cheryl’s wearing the black and white version of the shoes, which I couldn’t find available to buy online just yet: the red version you can see in the gallery below, however, which comes with a dogtooth platform, is currently available at Luisa Via Roma, for £732. What do you think? Celebrity Shoes: Sarah Jessica Parker in Nicholas Kirkwood at LettermanCarrie Bradshaw may be famous for her Manolos (although she later defected to Louboutin), but Sarah Jessica Parker wore neither for her appearance on Letterman last night, choosing these blue Nicholas Kirkwood platforms instead. Just in case the shoes weren’t “statement” enough, SJP paired them with a short sequined animal print dress, toning it all down with a white blazer over the top. Take a look under the jump to see the full outfit, and don’t forget to tell me what you think! Celebrity Shoe Spotting: Veronica Webb in Christian Siriano blue ruffle shoesOh my. Aren’t these just amazing? The kind of shoe that could so easily have gone wrong, these are by Christian Siriano, and I think they’re just the right side of extravagant. They’re seen here on the blue-nailed feet of Veronica Webb, who wore them to the American Ballet Theatre’s 70th Anniversary Season last night, with a bright pink dress by the same designer. Take a look under the jump to see the outfit! Celebrity Shoe Spotting: Lady Gaga in heel-less bootsA little known fact about me: I love Lady Gaga. No, really. The Fame has gotten me through many a tedious workout at the gym, and I really admire the way she’s created what essentially seems to be a persona, which has helped turn her into one of the most instantly recognisable women in the world today. Plus, wouldn’t it be great sometimes to be able to wear the craziest outfit imaginable, and not care what people think? With that said, however, I have to state the obvious here: what the HELL is she wearing on her feet? From a distance, I assumed it was another pair of Alexander McQueen’s “hoof shoes”, but up close, that doesn’t seem to be the case. They also look like they have little-to-no arch support either, which sets them apart from something like the Antonio Berardi heel-less boots from a few years back, although presumably they must have something inside them to make walking easier than it looks. Who made Gaga’s boots? I must confess, I have no idea, so if you do, please feel free to enlighten me. Several people have now told me it was Noritaka Tatehana, so take a look under the jump to see them in close-up! (more…) Celebrity Shoe Spotting: Alexandra Richards in Chanel’s flower-front wooden platforms S/S 2010I must admit, I wouldn’t recognise Alexandra Richards if she fell on me (she’s the daughter of Keith Richards, if you were similarly in the dark), but I DID recognise the shoes she wore to the Tribeca Film Festival Dinner last night – although given that the evening was hosted by Chanel, it’s perhaps not a huge surprise that so many of the guests were dressed in the brand! These are the flower-front wooden platforms from the S/S 2010 collection, and I’m guessing they were borrowed for the occasion, as are so many of the shoes we see on the red carpet, which would account for the gape at the back of the heel. It must be so frustrating to get to wear fabulous shoes for free, only to find that they’re ALWAYS the wrong size, but ah well, first world problems… What does everyone think of these? Take a look under the jump to see what Alexandra wore with them.
