Christian Louboutin Chiarana 100 glittered leather pumps Friday Fix: Christian Louboutin Chiarana 100 glittered leather pumps

Want something shiny and sparkly for your feet, but don’t want it to be glitter? Meet Christian Louboutin’s ‘Chiarana’: these are made from glittered leather, which gives you all the glamour you need, without the fear that bits of it will suddenly fall off.

These also have a very pretty d’orsay cut, and a pointed toe which is just long enough to be elegant, without looking “witchy”:

Miu Miu Suede Peep Toe T-Strap Bow Pumps

Most shoe brands who use unusual shapes on the heels tend to go for a more conservative look on the toe. Not Miu Miu. They’ve teamed the slim, curvy heel on these t-bar platforms with an equally attention-grabbing bow on the toe. Then they’ve finished it all off with bright red suede. And honestly, I kind of love it: I mean, look:

These shoes have a bit of a fairytale look to them: for some reason, they instantly made me think of Snow White, although I’m pretty sure she wore yellow shoes in the Disney animation. I bet she’d rather have been wearing these, though …

These are available to pre-order now at Saks Fifth Avenue, where they’re £502: click here to buy them.

Kristen Stewart switches Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle pumps for comfortable black sneakers

My love of Christian Louboutin’s ‘Pigalle’ doesn’t need to be repeated here, so rather than tell you all over again how much I love this classic style, I’ll just get on with showing you these photos of Kristen Stewart wearing the back patent version to a German photocall for her movie, Snow White & the Huntsman, this week.

Once the photocall was over, however, Kristen decided to give her feet a break, and slipped into a pair of more comfortable black sneakers to meet with her fans. This was the second time this week Kristen swapped high heels for these sneakers halfway through a public appearance – I wonder if she’d like someone (ahem) to take the Louboutins off her hands for her?

mid heel sandals Faith navy satin striped bow sandals

These shoes are a really good example of the phenomenon of “adjustment of the eye”. At first glance, you see, I assumed they had a mid-height heel, and got all excited thinking I’d finally managed to find a pair of lower heels that weren’t frumpy…Then I checked the product description and discovered they’re actually 4″. Which isn’t really all that low at all, is it? It just goes to show how quickly you get used to certain looks: a few years ago, these would’ve seemed reasonably high to me, but in today’s era of 6″ heels and huge platforms, however, I find myself wishing they were just a little bit higher. How times change!

That’s not to say I don’t like them the way they are, however: in fact, I like these a lot, and have been really impressed by most of Faith’s recent releases: it feels like the brand is finally starting to return to its former glory!

When it comes to evening sandals, black is a colour I tend to neglect a little, feeling like I really ought to go for something a little more adventurous. Sometimes you just can’t beat the classics, though, and these Karen Millen sandals are anything but boring, with  their gorgeous floral appliqué front:

Capture1 Kurt Geiger Carvela Anyone polka dot slingbacks

A black upper, covered in multicoloured dots, with a big ol’ bow on the front. Sounds like a shoeper kinda shoe, doesn’t it?

These are Carvela’s ‘Anyone’ pumps, and while they’re not my favourite polka dot shoe of the season (Don’t ask me what is, though: let’s just say it’s been a good year for women who love polka dots too much…), they are very cute, and as much as I love the brighter colours of Spring and Summer, it’s nice to see this kind of print on a black upper for a change, too.

These have a high stiletto heel with a correspondingly high platform sole, they’re also available in nude, and you can click here to buy them, for £100.

ShoeperStar: Anna Kendrick in Christian Louboutin ‘Just Pick’

Perspex shoes don’t tend to be popular with Shoeperwoman readers, but Christian Louboutin’s ‘Just Pick’ pumps have been popular on the red carpet lately, and just to prove it, here’s Anna Kendrick wearing the shoes to the premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting earlier this week.

These shoes have a clear upper with a studded toe and metallic ankle strap, and are designed to create a “barely there” look, but for those studded toes. These are one of those deigns that require extra-special attention to your pedicure: not just because so much of the foot is on show in them, but because people won’t be able to stop staring at your feet when you wear them.

Buffalo red patent ‘Addison’ Mary Janes

red patent mary janes Buffalo red patent Addison Mary Janes

I know quite a few of my readers are Mary Jane fans, so I’m not quite sure why it’s taken me so long to get around to showing you this fabulous example of the style, by Buffalo.

These shoes are also available with a nude upper, but I think this bright red patent has it beat in terms of sheer impact. These combine a 4.3″ heel with a small platform, and look like they’re just begging to be worn with a slick of matching red nail polish. Spartoo describe them as “femme fatale” shoes, and there’s definitely something about this particular shade of red that creates that impression, and ensures there’s absolutely nothing childish about them, as can sometimes be the case with Mary Janes.

Now for the bad news: these pumps are currently only available in limited sizes in this particular colour, so if you love them, click here to find out if your size is one of them,
