Aldo ‘Kovac’ colourblock platform heels

Colourblock shoes with high heel and platform sole

I was going to begin this post with an apology for featuring yet another pair of colourblock shoes, but honestly, I think we just need to accept that this trend isn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future, so we may as well just get used to it!

This particular example is from Aldo, and comes in two different colourways: the Autumn-appropriate purple and green mix, or the lighter, brighter cream and taupe. I like both, but suspect cream suede probably wouldn’t be a great match for the Scottish weather, and while ANY suede upper is always going to be at risk from the rain, I’d probably go for the darker colours, in the hope that they’d last a little longer.

  • The purple mix one is fabulous! I really loved them! I agree with suede and weather… I still have some suede pairs to save, but it’s raining since yesterday!

  • I have good feelings for the beige/taupe because it gives the feeling of ombré, which I have been getting to like lately. The purple/blue are a little disjointed for me.

  • The purple ones are gorgeous, even better than the taupe ones! They’d go with so many things in my wardrobe… Ahh, to have money.
