5 Things You Won’t Believe Came From Quiz

Remember Quiz? It’s the mall brand every UK-born teen has probably shopped at – and which the rest of us probably just walk right by, without a second look.

In my late teens (and, OK, early twenties), I used to pop in quite regularly for the kind of tops and dresses that were really only suitable as clubwear (and sometimes not even then, if we’re honest: I’m SO glad I didn’t have a blog in my clubbing days, and that it therefore didn’t even occur to me to take a photo of any of the outfits I used to wear…): these days, however, I can’t even remember the last time I even glanced into the store, even although, as I said, there seems to be one in more of less every UK mall I’ve ever been in. It’s not snobbery, I hasten to add: it’s simply that I assumed I’d long-since grown out of anything the brand had to offer – so when I found myself admiring a gorgeous dress on the Dorothy Perkins website recently, I was really surprised to find that it was actually by Quiz.

Here’s the dress in question:

Now, absolutely nothing about this said either “clubwear” or “teenage” to me, so I decided to head over to the Quiz website for some further investigation. Here’s what I found:

I know it’s a little bit late in the year for this summery looking dress, but on the plus side, it’s down to £20 on sale, and it’s GORGEOUS. Oh, and also available in pink: I mean, what more could you want?

Ditto this one, although it’s £40, rather than £20 – still gorgeous, though.

If you’re looking for something a little more seasonally appropriate, meanwhile, how about this one:

This would make a great party season purchase – and it’s the kind of dress that never really goes out of style, either.

If you’re not looking for dresses AT ALL, finally…

I love coatigans (although I HATE the word ‘coatigan’…): they’re such a great option for cooler autumn days, when you don’t want to wear a heavy coat, but need something a little warmer than your summer jacket. This one looks cosy and stylish, and will be perfect with jeans and boots!
